Excellent work. Before purchasing the windows, Power Home Remodeling sent a company rep to demonstrate the various features of the product and to explain the benefits of buying from them. I was impressed with the demo and every effort was made to accommodate what I needed, including the financing of the project. The team of installers arrived on time and did the installation in about four hours. They removed all waste and debris. The windows are double-paned and filled with argon gas which provides for better protection from the cold. I'm extremely happy with the end result. I no longer have to put up insulation panels in front of my patio door in the winter. I have my view back which is really nice in the winter when it snows. The fit is snug and flawless. The product has a life time warranty which transfers to the next owner of the house, a great added benefit when I sell my house in the future. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will have them come back to install a few more windows.

This company went above and beyond in each step of the process. Our sales rep Josh was very thorough demonstrating the quality of the windows and answering all questions. We had windows installed previously and knew these were very good. Zach came to pre-inspect and make precise measurements and answer questions. Chris called right before installation to assure we had a point of contact in case we needed one. Our installation crew Chong and Kong were simply amazing! They installed 17 windows in one day with expert craftsmanship. Fast and very precise. We were extremely impressed with their work! After installation, Brian came to inspect the quality of work and answer any final questions. The entire process from start to finish was very reassuring. These folks made sure we were completely satisfied with each step. We highly recommend the Power Remodeling Company for new window installations.

We perform this screening when a business applies to join our network and, if the business is accepted, whenever concerns are brought to our attention. We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
