Reviews
Write a ReviewNeed to make sure if you want holes and imperfections fixed you make it clear to the workers. They were very competitive and did a nice job. They were neat and cleaned up really well.
The person that came out to the initial estimate was great. When the time came to get the project started the guy had left the company so another person came out. They said they would honor the prices on the estimate the guy who came to do the work didn't have the correct equipment and said he would be back the next day. He never showed up and four hours after the start time I was called and told that they were not going to or couldn't complete the project.
Painter Brothers did an amazing job painting the banister of the staircase, creating a complete new look for the entrance of my house
They were one day and a half late. They had to go get the paint. They did not know project details. Because of the poor schedule I was under too much pressure to figure our details. They left a hole in the wall and poor painting along moldings. Then when I asked for help over these issues before I made a final payment they charged me a late fee of 250.00 which I refused to pay. There goes my credit score. They need to have better business practices and communication. I talked with the contact maker, and he did nothing about my complaints. I sent an email with the final bill and never received a response. Then today cane the notice of late payment fee. Bad job bad customer service. Would never recommend. Update to original review, I did not have to pay late fee, however job was poorly done and customer service was lacking.
We hired Painter Bros to paint the vertical walls inside of our home. We scheduled a time about two weeks out to have the work done. When the time came, I received a call from the secretary telling me that they were behind on some other projects, and needed to reschedule us to a latter date. I had to reschedule my flooring people, which put us a couple of weeks behind putting our home on the market. Finally, they gave me a time when they would be out. I was told that they would be coming between noon and 1:00 pm. They showed up at 8:00 am, without a call letting us know they were on their way. I made it very clear to the estimator, that I wanted someone who spoke English. One of the people spoke broken English. It was a crew of 9 people, running into one another. Too many people for the size of project it was. We thought it would be nice to have lunch and drinks for the workers, so I went to Sams Club and bought 5 pizzas and a couple of cases of soda. They spilled pop all over our porch and left napkins and pop cans scattered everywhere. We even gave them a garbage bag to put them in. Now for the paint job. They quasi masked the woodwork and moldings. They were suppose to put plastic over the furniture, but did not. We have paint splatter all over the floors, furniture and other items in the house. My wife even had paint on her car keys! One of the workers put his hand on the back of one of our recliners, and now we have a nice hand print on the chair. Also, they broke the light in one of our bathrooms. The paint job itself was decent, but all the added problems, have made it less than a desirable outcome. Have left numerous messages about the problems we experienced, still no response. I would imagine, if you had a vacant house, they would probably do a decent job. Edited review: I left numerous calls to Painter Bros to find out what they going to do to fix the problems. We didn't hear from them for almost two weeks, and figured that since they had been paid, it was finished. We still had the broken light in the bathroom and the paint on the recliner and other woodwork. We finally got got a call from the receptionist and she said that Luis would be in the area that week and wanted to set up a time to come look at our complaints. He showed up on the scheduled day and time and reviewed all our complaints. He was able to remove the paint from the recliner without damaging the material. The light was another story. He tried to tighten the loose light and ended up breaking the glass. He said that he would go to Home Depot and find some replacement glass. He said that he would be back the next day and replace it. I didn't realize it till he was gone, that he took the entire fixture with him. The next day came and went, and another day, and another day etc. Finally after four days of not hearing anything, I called and left a message for Luis. He called back a couple of days later and told me he had been really sick and was sorry for not getting back to me. I could accept that, but a call would have been the proper thing to do. On Monday he called and said that he had the light and would be able to put it back up. I told him that we had pictures of the house being taken on Thursday and the light had to be in before that. He came out today, Wednesday the 31st. I appreciate his efforts to rectify the problems his employees created, but I am not gong to change my review or thoughts on using this company again.
They said they would be here between 9 am and 11 am. We called the office and got no help. The office finally called and Victor came at 1:30 pm. The bid was for sanding and prepping the two outside doors. NO prepping or sanding was done. They just taped and sprayed over the existing paint. There are still holes in the front door not batched and the back door frame was not prepped and the paint is peeling already. We had an appointment that could not be missed and left the check with our neighbor. When we got back we were appalled. We stopped payment on the check. We will not pay until the painting is done right. Will not be using them again. Very bad experience.
Staff and painters courteous. Stuck by their estimate which was competitive and reasonable. Quality of work and attention to detail by the two painters were outstanding. Highly recommend!
A difficult home to paint and heavy rains delayed the project. The bid was substantially below competitors. When finally underway the painting met my expectations and finished with a good look. The most notable downside to the experience was poor communication after I accepted their bid for the project. I had to push for information on the nature of prep work when the work would start, why the crew did not show on an expected work day. Bottom line: pleased with cost and final product.
They did a great job!
I was fine with my experience with Painter Bros. What I was very impressed with was who they sent to do the painting. His name is Victor, & he did an excellent job. He was always timely, he worked hard the entire time...only taking a quick break to eat his lunch in his truck, & the quality of work was exceptional. I’d use Victor again in a heartbeat.
