The owner came out and told me what he was going to do. His son and crew showed up while I wasn't home but I would have preferred to have been home so I could have given more direction on what plants needed attention. All in all they did a good job.

Abel came out right away to give me an estimate on trimming my trees. I really enjoyed the conversation that I had with Abel as I learned personal aspects of his life and just a great conversation and the work was top-notch although if I would have had more time I would have negotiated the price but I was really backed into a corner, but it was worth it.

Richard gave me the bid, and he was very thorough in telling me what services would be provided. However, he was not present when some work was done, and work we discussed being done was not conveyed to the crew doing the work. There were about three weeks between him giving the bid and me hiring Discount Tree Care to do the work. Iwish I had paid closer attention to what the workers were doing. For example, in one instance a bush and a tree had grown together. I told him on the day of the estimate that I would let him know later which one I wanted removed. The tree was removed before I told him I had decided to remove the bush and leave the tree. No one asked me which one I had chosen. I had asked originally that some bushes along the fence be trimmed in a way that would retain the privacy between my neighbor and myself. They were trimmed in a way that my neighbor and I can wave to each other whenever I go on my patio; not what either one of us wanted. I had to print a copy of the original estimate which roughly described the work to be done, because the crew did not have one. Nice people, but I wish I had been more vigilant before things were cut which should not have been cut. And conversely, some plants which should have been trimmed were not. I would hire them again but would keep a closer watch.
