I went on the internet looking for a tree service. Discount Tree Care Arborist Inc., #1025257, was one of the companies that responded. Rafael came to give an estimate. I told Rafael where I wanted the tree cut near a spot where a branch had been previously cut. He told me it would be a bulb after they finish, meaning the tree would be small. When I returned to review their work, I was surprised at how tall the tree still was, and I texted Abel to tell him it was still too tall and send pictures. Abel said what I was asking was minor. However, Rafael came back and told me it would cost $1000 in addition to the $2500 we already paid. I paid them but should not have, but Rafael would not budge. I had an appointment and am tired of hiring people and being disappointed, so I paid them. Later, I texted Abel and told him again that the tree was still way too tall. He said he would meet me there but never showed up. I texted him that I was going to file a complaint with agencies that protect senior citizens and disabled vets like me and my husband. I called once more, and we finally met on 12/15/22. Abel said it would not be safe to cut the tree any more, but he could cut 10 feet for $800. I told him this was unacceptable. If his worker had not told me I would have a small bulb and that it would cost $3500 for it, I would not have hired them. I told Abel we could agree to disagree. We shook hands, and I said I would let someone else settle our differences. I think I was taken advantage of because I am an elderly female, and my husband is also a senior and too ill to be out. A neighbor gave me the number of a company that cut down three huge trees for him for $2900. In my opinion, Discount Trees shouldn't call themselves Discount Trees. They cut extended limbs and branches, but the tree is still 30 feet or taller. Just because someone shows up with a truck and the equipment, do not hire them without getting other estimates and checking their license and reviews.

Discount Tree Care Arborist are Great! Response was fantastic. A call back within 20 minutes from Abel, Francisco shows up within 30 minutes for the estimate, and Richard, the son, shows up next morning at 8 AM with his crew to perform my tree service. Absolutely a company I will use again and recommend. First rate and exception customer service. Well done Discount Tree Care Arborist.
