Reviews
Write a ReviewDante was very professional and friendly. I think the amount of money I was charged $170 for the work done was a little much. He checked the electrical panel and found a loose wire on the GFI was causing 2 outlets not to work and replaced 1 outlet. That was it!! I was not informed of how much it was going to cost except for the $59 charge. I was having other work done by The Service Professor but I cancelled the job, I want to find someone that won't charge me so much for easy fix jobs.
Thank you for taking the time to share your review of The Service Professor here on HomeAdvisor. It is true we do not provide pricing over the phone because that isn't fair to anyone. System repairs and diagnosis of problems can't be performed over the phone. To give accurate up-front pricing it must be provided at the time of the appointment. Our technician Donte provided you with several options for repairs, each option came with up-front pricing before any repair work was done. As to the total, this includes all work bringing your system up to code for future inspections, permits and a safer system along with great customer service.
electrician was very personable and replaced our smoke detectors and put in a surge protector. We ended up spending over $4000.
Thank you for choosing The Service Professor, and taking the time to leave this review here on HomeAdvisor. We will let Jim know you reviewed his work so he can take time to read it. We know you will be able to enjoy your home more in the future knowing you have the added protection against electrical power surges and better home alerts with your new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors too! Thank you again for choosing The Service Professor, enjoy the rest of your summer.
They did a great job but a little pricey!
Thank you for your review of Jim's service he provided in your home earlier this month. We understand we are not the cheapest company in the area, but do keep in mind the cheapest companies use the cheapest materials and most times when their repair fails, it is very difficult to get that person back out to fix it again without additional charges. We stand behind our work and will keep customer service as our number one priority for every customer we serve. Thank you again for choosing The Service Professor and have a wonderful rest of the summer.
Roger was on time, professional, courteous and engaging. The work was performed in a timely manner and he hauled away our debris from the jobsite.
Thank you for choosing The Service Professor for your electrical repair project. We are very proud of Roger and his professionalism in customer service and quality of workmanship. We have let him know you posted this review so he can read it also. We hope you enjoy the rest of the summer.
I had new shower fixtures installed in my bathroom. I guess my only issue is that when I got home from work I had to re drywall a 6x6 in hole up near the shower head, as I was told over the phone that there was no other way to secure the new chrome shower pipe. It was either cut the hole, or live with the old crusty pipe coming out of the wall. So I agreed to the cutting. After further inspection I think there could have been another alternative than cutting the hole, maybe a metal strap or clip. For $1340 I just wanted it to be a finished job with little or no work for me later.
Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with other customers here on HomeAdvisor. We are glad you like your new shower fixture, and are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the hole in your drywall. Our copy of your paid invoice does show someone at the home initialed the disclaimer stating we are not general contractors and needed to make a hole in the wall to access the pipe behind it. We hope you were able to resolve the issue and know you will enjoy your new shower for years to come. Thank you for choosing The Service Professor and have a wonderful rest of the summer.
Friendly and professional.
Thank you for posting your review on HomeAdvisor. We know you will get years of use out of your electrical project and we hope you have a wonderful week.
My installer finished replacing the two switches. However, he installed the wrong color. Mine throughout the house are ivory. He didn't have my color, so he went ahead and installed bright white. He offered to return the next day, and I was his first appointment the following day. They are fine now, but it took two days.
Thank you for sharing your experience with The Service Professor and our electrical technician. We are sorry your electrician did not have the correct color switches on his truck the day of your appointment. We are working to improve our services daily, and will be sure to remind our call center staff to ask for color preference when scheduling outlet or switch replacement so the technician is sure to have the customer's color on hand. Thank you for providing your feedback to improve our services and have a wonderful week.
Roger did an excellent job managing my lengthy list.
Thank you for taking time to leave your review of our electrician Roger on HomeAdvisor. Roger is excellent at completing his customer's to-do list (even if they are lengthy like yours.) We hope you have a wonderful week, and remember to keep us in mind as we have outstanding plumbers and HVAC technicians too.
John got somewhat of a late start then was called away suddenly (and for almost 3 hours)...When the work did get underway, it seemed to go smoothly and the electrician was very friendly and knowledgeable! I am pleased with the overall result but in the end the cost was almost $1500.00 than what I was hoping to pay. The electrician WAS able, and happy, to stay to complete the entire job in just one day which was a HUGE blessing! Highly recommend (and will use The Service Professor again) but be prepared for some potential "sticker shock".
Thank you for your review of John's service work for your electrical system. We have notified him that you shared your review here on HomeAdvisor so he can check it out when he is able to. It is not our practice to remove a technician from someone's home during a scheduled appointment and we appreciate your flexibility as one of our Protection Plan members was in immediate need of emergency electrical services. Once he returned, we are very glad his work was completed in the single day so your household was back up and running without issues. Thank you for choosing The Service Professor, have a wonderful week.
John was professional, yet friendly. He is a hard worker and stayed much later than any other home improvement we have ever worked with. We would be confident in working with this company again.
Thank you for the kind words regarding the service you received by John. We will make sure to notify him of the review so he can take time to read it. Customer service is our top priority, so it is common practice for our technicians to work on your system with the utmost care and dedication to quality workmanship. Thank you for choosing The Service Professor, have a wonderful week.
