Reviews
Write a ReviewWe had the pleasure of hiring three, of MJC’s finest, kindest, and most considerate movers, over the holiday weekend, (on a Sunday of all days). Robin Williams and his team Jaquan, & James were quick, and got the job done. Did I mention how considerate and respectful they all were? It makes a stressful move special, when the people who are there to help, actually care about what they are doing and can have fun while doing it. Give Alanna a call at MJC, she’ll get you all set up for a stress free move in no time, with yet another, amazing personality! I think you’ll be relieved if you do & thankful you read my review before calling another company. I can not thank all of you at MJC enough. Truly. Thank you for making this easy.
Thank you
Awesome
Did Great
ALL GOOD BUT CAME WITH AN UNEXPCTED HIDDEN FEE
They were alright. The guys were great but I believe for the price and quality it's ok. Some furniture broken in move, walls at the newly built house were scuffed up. Etc
Hi Joel D, Thank you for your review, however we don't have a record of you in our system for either years of 2024 or currently for 2025. Can you please verify your job #, name, and move date by calling our office to make sure you are reviewing the correct company? Unfortunately, I cannot find any information with your provided information, and we do not have anything related to any issues like this for either years in 2024 or for 2025. We strive to provide 5 star moving experiences, but we do need to be notified if there's ever an issue so we can be made aware and make your experience what you deserve. Call our office, so we can figure out everything. Thanks.
Benjamin was a great help.
The move was estimated to take 4 hours but extended to 11 hours, with clear evidence of non-working time that was still billed. Movers held belongings on the truck and threatened storage with additional fees unless the full payment was made, this is illegal and is called hostage cargo. Damaged items include a refrigerator, with text evidence from an employee (Desmond) admitting responsibility. Belongings were left on the truck and have not yet been returned Overcharge and billing for excessive hours. Threatening to hold belongings and charge storage fees. Damaged refrigerator due to improper handling (employee Desmond confirmed responsibility via text). Items still not returned. Desired Resolution: Compensation for Refrigerator Damage. Refund or reduction of charges to reflect the original estimate. Immediate return of remaining belongings.
We deeply regret you feel this way. Keep in mind that we spoke several times on the day of the move about what was happening since you were not present at either the 1st or 2nd stop and about the refrigerator at the 1st stop. You were already aware that we cannot disconnect gas lines or water lines especially the day of the moving service. We called you immediately several times, and you also agreed that it was in your best interest for us to have our specialists come out the very next day to transport it since it had to be completely taken apart, and the water lines had to be completely removed, and then reinstalled at the destination, in order for the doors to be taken off, so that we could be able to get the refrigerator through the very narrow and small walk way that was a lot smaller than the width of the refrigerator, and then taken out of the kitchen. However, your family argued with us against what you and I already agreed to, and kept us there longer at your expense, and against what we were telling you about the time and cost of us being there longer. We kept telling you we did not want you to overspend for unneccessary time, but everyone continued to argue with us and you did not reject us leaving to the 2nd stop, and we had to stay longer. Not only that, but once we finally made it to the 2nd stop, your husband then had us loading and unloading two different trucks that we were never made aware of, and it was also never mentioned when we gave you the estimate, or during the confirmation call we had with you the day before your move. We called you several more times letting you know that your husband wanted us to do more than we antipicated, and since you were the person paying for this move we kept asking you what you wanted us to do. We were given a very small inventory, hence the small estimate for 3 total stops, but on the day of the move it turned out to be far more inventory, far more surprise activities loading and unloading other trucks and items, and lots of arguing with our team and office about us calling you asking for your permission on what to do next, and unrealistic expectations that we were blind sided with. We tried to provide a 5 star experience, but you were constantly aware of what was going on, and we were receiving your approval on what to do next. Unfortuntaley, we cannot work 8 hours for free. We are a business that was trying to help you, and you were not surprised by anything, because we asked you several times if this was your final decision and you kept saying yes even against our recommendations and advice. We are truly sorry for your feelings towards us, but we did in fact complete and do everything that you all asked us to do even knowing that this was an hourly rated service and what the cost would be. We worked very hard for you, and thought we did everything that you all asked us to do even knowing what the cost would like. We are truly surprised by this, and deeply regret that you feel you received an unsatisfactorily experience. We are always here to help our customers, and always communicate everything before, during, and after the move to ensure you a true 5 star experience. It is not our fault that you agreed for your family to keep us for so long even against our advice. You were always aware and gave us the green light. We truly hope you have a blessed day and please do enjoy your new home. Thank you.
This company moved my household. The workers were speedy and worked hard. Unfortunately they scratched my new floor. The attempt to get the company to repair it. Was meet with poor communication and attitude. Calls were not returned. and even no showed after I took off from my busy schedule. The integrity of this company is at best Poor!
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear about your experience and apologize for the issues you've described. It's always our goal to provide excellent service, and we clearly fell short in this case. We understand how frustrating it can be to have your new floors scratched, and we regret that our follow-up process did not meet your expectations. Please know that we take your concerns seriously, and we are currently reviewing our communication procedures to ensure that this does not happen in the future. We did make several attempts to reschedule the damage to the floor assessment and you told us that you had to travel. We sent you further email reminders to reschedule the assessment as well as call you but we never heard back from you so we were not able to reschedule anything and were not able to get it fixed. In regard to the damage to your floor, we would like to resolve this matter for you as quickly and professionally as possible. Could you kindly reach out to our claims email at [email protected] so we can address this issue directly and work toward a satisfactory solution? We value your business and hope we can turn this experience around for you. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we look forward to the opportunity to make things right. Sincerely, Mike Crespo MJC Movers, LLC
Worst moving experience imaginable. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!! Poor quality, Poor Communication. Severely, severely overcharged for the service. Charged us 60% above our estimate or wouldn't move our items into our home in the middle of the night after many mistakes on their part. Left my wife and daughter nearly in tears in the middle of the night directing people who had badly mislabeled boxes and items where to put them in the house. They eventually gave up and stuffed half the items in the garage. Ran out of packing materials. Had a truck break down and replaced with a smaller truck, then charged us extra for all of the unpacking and repacking needed to accommodate the truck issue. Literally refused to move out items into our home late at night after a disastrous packing and loading job unless we paid a full 60% above the quoted estimate ahead of time in advance. Intimidated my wife into paying them a tip after the first day of packing was cut short by 3 hours when they ran out of packing materials. Literally told us we had to pay for all of their mistakes and bad estimating as they bill by the hour. I had to constantly walk thru the house pointing out items they had missed. Got asked at least 10 times, "is everything going"? I had to clarify over and over that everything needed to be packed and delivered. DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!!!
