Write a ReviewThey went from being the cheapest to more expensive than my highest estimate. I was billed for their breaks and lunch, even though they promised that would not happen. One of the movers fell on a book shelf and completely broke it apart. He did not realize I was behind him. If I had not seen it, I never would have known, because they put the broken parts in the garage and did not tell me. They did not put the furniture back together. I found several screws under my desk and a bag of others parts beside it. Furniture was not placed on the correct floor. I only want the money back for the hour I was over charged, my desk put back together (it is too heavy for one person), and to have the recliner placed on the correct floor. The salesman definitely made it sound better that it actually was. I would not recommend them.

We are known for our attention to detail and costumer satisfaction and regret you weren't left 100% satisfied. After after all of these issues were brought to our attention the first thing we did was set a day for us to go your home and rectify all of the said mistakes free of charge. Once we arrived at your home the first thing we did was put a few screws into your desk. Secondly, we moved the recliner that you originally said you wanted in the basement back up stairs, and the piece that you wanted upstairs back into the basement. Thirdly, we went to take a look at the bookshelf, where you told us it wasn't an issue and just gave us the parts to throw away. Lastly, we discussed the breaks that weren't taken out of your bill, they were actually taken out. We refunded you regardless because we want to leave every costumer satisfied. MJC movers did a great job moving us into our first home. They were extremely quick and efficient at loading everything up and even faster unloading it all into our house. Because of this, we saved time and money. Thank you MJC movers!
I must say the packers were very detail and professional....excellent work...
The movers told me they would take my couch to goodwill or dispose of it at no extra charge They left the couch by the dumpster of my condominiums. I am extremely disappointed with MJC Movers. They left me in a really bad spot and did not return my calls. This is Not how you dispose of a couch. I called the company twice telling them that movers left the couch by the dumpster and I needed it moved that day. I was told they would look into it and call me back. They never did. Residents emailed the property manager and I received phone calls saying the couch needed to be moved. I learned that someone told them they could not leave the couch there, and they left it anyway. I called MJC Movers a couple more times. They did not answer. I had to rent a Uhaul the next morning and take the couch 5 miles up the road myself and dispose of it properly at a transfer station. They really caused me alot of stress and headache. If they were not going to dispose of it properly or take it to the goodwill they could have left the couch with me as I had scheduled for the salvation army to get it. I am alarmed at how unprofessional this company is, their lack of customer care, and their refusal to correct their mistakes.

We are usually known for our thoroughness and regret that you were left with a sour taste in your mouth. We initially let you know that our hauling away services would be extra and you said you would prefer if we just transported it over to the new location, because you spoke with salvation army and had everything situated to get the couch removed. Once at the new location you asked our guys if they could take the couch elsewhere, they later called the office and we informed them not to. However our guys wanted to do everything in their power to leave you satisfied so they did what they thought was best. They were never instructed as to were they could or could not leave the couch. Workers were very polite and courteous. Most of the packing and delivery was excellant. Did have a couple of items broken, but overall good move. I have recommended them to others.

Very professional and on time.
My rating is based off what i was told vs what actually happened. I was quoted a price based on the time needed for the move which was 3 hours/3 movers. I did receive 3 movers, but they didn't meet the 3 hour time because I didn't have a lot of items and what I did have for the most part was already packed and wrapped. The person that quoted me also stated that the $103 deposit would come off of the quote of $598 and adjusted based on the hours needed. None of this actually happened, i paid for hours that they didn't use as well as them attaching on the deposit to the quote. The 3 men, worked quickly but my issue is with the person that quoted me vs the man that gave the final bill.

We are usually known for our attention to detail, and bewail that you were left with an unsavory taste in your mouth. Over the phone we explained that this was an hourly rated move and you would only would be charged based of the time we spent there which was in fact three hours plus our one hour of travel time which would be equal to the hourly rate. We did commit a mistake when we did not deduct the one hundred dollar deposit out of your final bill, but we rectified this mistake as soon as we were made aware, and deposited the full amount of your deposit into your account. I enjoyed working the MJC team. They were responsive, professional and everyone had great attitudes. The move went smoothly even though we were in the middle of a torrential downpour! I would highly recommend working with this team.
