Write a ReviewThey spent too much time on phones and talking with each other having time to past before the did some things they promised to do. They left my basement door unlocked after putting items in the room. They were in a hurry to get off by 4:00 p.m. and were about 45 mins late. They were MUCH better the first time I used them.
Very personable and work quickly. Worked together as a team well. Moving is hard and they did a great job of making it easier.
Today is November 13 - I had moving service on September 28 which is 46 days and still my issues which this company have not been addressed. The movers were very nice, wrapped everything at the old house but ending up damaging a wall at the new house. Being new construction, they grabbed paint from the garage and painted over the wall issues but ended up using the wrong paint! They did not speak to me immediatly but they took it upon themselves to grab paint and started painting. I was alerted after that there was an issue and that the office would make it right. Move was on Friday - a few hours later someone from the crew came back out to repaint and did just that but the paint on hand was not enough to sufficiently cover their blundered repaint. he said that he or someone else would be back the next day to continue which never happened. I waited until the following Wednesday and called and left a message but no one ever called me back. I called again a few days later on Friday. The gentleman said that they never received my message... I explained the issue and he assured me that someone would be out to make it right but that didn't happen. Then i received a call a few weeks later asking if i had been taken care of and said that people have been trying to contact me to come out which never happened. I replied that I picked up on the second ring for him and I would have certainly done that if someone else had tried to call. Plus, they have my email so they could have emailed. He assured me that someone would be out immediately but that never happened. Honestly, I love supporting small business in every project here but if you can accept payment you had better be ready to take care of your customer and that has not happened here. Would I hire MJC again - unfortunately no. Buyer beware they will take your money and then forget about you entirely...
The Company was very Unprofessional and the Movers were inefficient. The worker who drove the truck talked about his Boss. The Company gave me an estimate based off the size of my House & my furniture. It took 10 hours vs. the 5 Hours they estimated. When I got to the destination, they would not deliver my furniture until I paid the $1786. I was quoted $596.00. I was pretty much held hostage. I didnÂ’t really have the Extra Money. The crew didnÂ’t work as a team and they were inefficient. I had very little furniture to move so I do think it could have been moved in 5 Hours. They scammed me. I will never use MJ Movers again and will never recommend MJ Movers. I suggest HomeAdvisors you remove them from your recommended List.
Good afternoon Ms.Brenda, we would like to start off for the unpleasant experience you had with our company. We are known for our hard working guys and precise estimates and truly regret that your experience with us wasn't a pleasant one. The main reason for the move taking longer then it should've was because the elevator at your new home wasn't reserved. Even though we informed over the phone when we gave you the quote that the move would go by much quicker if the elevator was reserved. And so when we arrived to the destination there was another individual moving in that had reserved the elevator. That meant that our guys and the other moving had to take turns using the elevator. We couldn't deliver your items until we received payment for our moving services as is stated on the Moving Guide For Household Goods Moves in Georgia page 4 paragraph 2, every fully licensed and ensured moving company in the state of Georgia that operate under the Department of Transportation have to follow these guides. They were also at the bottom of the estimate sheet we sent, and we advised you read over it that way nothing would catch you by surprise. This company was Excellent. Hired them last minute with little notice, they came to my home and did an evaluation for free, made recommendations, and were extremely professional. I needed a 5 bedroom house packed up, moved across town, and set up at a new house. I packed up my clothes myself, which made things go faster, but they did everything else. Would definitely use them again...but I hope not to be moving again for a long long time.
These guys are great! I had to locate a mover in Atlanta to move my daughter. I am in Tn. When I called, Mike really made me comfortable from the beginning. The guys disassembled and reassembled my daughters bedroom furniture and even repaired a broken wobbly bookcase for her. I will definitely use them again and I HIGHLY recommend them. Their rates are fair and reasonable.
