In May of 2023 I had a system installed. When hurricane Milton ? came through the system failed. Called for emergency repair. Was told for an upfront payment, a technician would arrive within 48 hours. Technician did not come. After repeated calls. I was told because of an over abundance of calls I was pushed back a week. Duke Energy restored power to our home before Genrex came by. Mind you the Generx is supposed to perform during emergency. Now to get a service for a annual check up, to maintain warranty. Was told my last service person used superior parts. Why would they not supply quality products initially? I am very unhappy with Generx. I will not recommend Generx. In fact I will strongly advocate against this company to family and friends.

When a hurricane hits, we are on our own, and that is the sad reality! My generator ran for a while and broke down. I called at least six companies, and NO ONE answered the phone, so people trashing this company are not being fair. All generator companies are overwhelmed right now. Generex was the 1st company to call me back. Tim took his time and thoroughly explained everything that went wrong. He explained how he was fixing the issue, leaving me feeling confident that the issue was resolved. I know what to look for in the future and how to avoid this from happening again. Thank you, TIM!!!

This company is too big and is not able to deliver responsive customer service. They do not believe in you calling to talk to a live human to schedule appointments which is extremely frustrating as a customer. The company also has zero capacity to respond during a major event such as a hurricane. While we all have families and empathize with the impacts hurricanes have on our community, you cant have 50% of your staff evacuate and then take 36 hours to set yourself up to respond to the emergency created by a hurricane. Their only business is generators when the storm is coming you need extra resources to be able to respond to help you customers as soon as the storm passes. What would happen if our brave first responders, doctors, emts, and utility lineman all evacuated the area when it is in the path of the storm? Utilities bring in resources ahead of time and house them in safe locations to be able to respond as soon as the storm clears. If they did not prepare we would all still be sitting in the dark. Storms are the reasons people by generators in a place like Florida. To not be prepared to support your customers post storm when your business is only generators is malpractice. Do yourself a favor and hire a smaller local company with better service. Bigger is not always better and being the national largest undisputed generator dealer as Generex claims dose not equate to quality customer service. I also would recommend buying a brand other than Generac if you are in the market for a generator. They are great at marketing but the quality of their product is not there.

They installed a whole-house generator. Years ago, someone told me The most important part of a home generator is being able to get service They did everything: pulled permits, installed the generator, installed the electrical change over panel, and provide annual preventative maintenance. They are 5 Star!

This kind of attitude is challenging to find when placing a normal service call to a company. You excel in that spirit which exemplifies a sense of confidence and knowledge about the information you convey. Your company should appreciate your presence and front-door interaction with Generx clients. The second note of compliments go to Erica and Rick for the exemplary work they did last week when installing the new engine in our generator. They toiled for a number of hours in a very cramped place and showed unusual team spirit during that time. I marveled how cautious they were when disassembling the old engine, keeping copious track of every screw, bolt and nut they touched. When the job was completed, every screw, bolt and nut and been replaced in their original location. It was obvious that Rick had performed this procedure before, but Erica was right alongside him working diligently and confidently as well. Since I am a strong advocate of team relationships, it was a pleasure seeing the two of them working together harmoniously. Please forward this note to your top management as I we, as customers, were most satisfied with the professionalism the three of you displayed as you worked through this unusual situation. We are big fans of Generac Generators as we have had one in each residence where we lived for the past 15 years. A great Wisconsin company, indeed.

I cannot even give them 1 star. WE were promised the world before and during installation, last June. Now in March, the generator failed during a power outage. Everyone else had power in 3 hrs, I did not for 2 days because of an issue with the generator. THERE IS NO ONE TO SPEAK TO ON THE PHONE. You must fill out a service ticket and they may come by in the next 3 days! Furthermore, they show up, ordered parts and never updated or told me anything. Almost a week later and no communication whatsoever. If we wanted emergency service it would cost almost $300.00 They dont belong to BBB. Stay away from this company and use a reputable installer. Please check all reviews before living thru my nightmare.
