Unit had issues that required several updates that took a few months to get fixed. They were good and followed up but it was frustrating to have a new unit that needed replacement parts due to factory error

Professional efficient and prompt. The team was great all the way from sales to installation wanst an easy task as the county started putting the permit through crazy.needs but in the end they got it approved. The install team were the best operating team I have seen in a long time they all had they own role and did it well. I will definitely suggest them to any of my friends and family looking for a generator.

I used this company almost two decades ago. I purchased a Generac, liquid cooled, complete home system that I never had any trouble with. I bought a new home 6 years ago and needed a new system. Instead of buying a Generac system I [stupidly] purchased a Briggs & Stratton system and from the git go had major issues with operation and service. It blew up after 5 months because the install was not correct - B&S replaced it under warranty. Service on the system has been extremely hard to get. I have been through 4 'authorized dealers' since the re-install. My B&S system has not been working for 9 months - even though the authorized B&S dealer had been out 6 times, trying to 'figure it out.' I finally had enough - I need a system that works. I live in a remote area of Brooksville and being without electric service is not an option. So, I called the GenerX peeps and they sent Rob out to give me a quote. He even remembered me from 20 years ago! I signed the agreement and a week later they installed my new Generac system. The installation was very professional. The people they employ are competent and considerate. If you are looking for a new generator - keep in mind that service is very, very hard to get and generators today are not like 'the old days.' You need people who are proficient and reliable you can count on. I'm so happy I returned to GenerX - a company you can count on. :)

My strong recommendation is to not use this company here is why: After performing an assessment of our household power needs, they recommended a 24W generator with the assurance it would more than meet all our power consumption needs, including shore power for our boat (50A) and heat pump for our new pool. 1) Our pool contractor put in the natural gas line at a cost of $1,100. This was included in the Fix my gens quote but when I submitted the invoice to them, they would only reduce the total amount by $300. 2) The first power outage after installation, the generator ran for a few mins and stopped. After resetting it, it again stopped after a few minutes with an error code that suggested it was underpowered. Once the power was returned, I reset the generator. On calling them to understand why this was happening I was informed that because I had reset the unit it would be a chargeable service call. The service technician identified that the generator was not sufficient to manage the load of the house and that when the heat pump went on it tripped the generator. They charged me $200 to tell me that and, as to be expected from them, there has been no response to my queries on how we can remedy the under-power situation. 3) I was informed in an email that the cost of a 5-year maintenance plan with them was $1,350. When I submitted payment for this, I was informed the cost was now $1,600. I have subsequently had two neighbors asking who put my generator in as they want to do the same. I recommended they go to Costco which sells and installs GenerX generators.
Response from Company:
Hey Peter, Just like we told you on BBB and FaceBook, We are sorry to hear about your experience thus far. It seems that you did not consult us and then upgraded the gas meter and had someone else run a line for $1100.00. We deducted the $300.00 simply because that is what was being charged to you since we were already on the property, have permits and do not overcharge people for gas work. We connected the generator to the gas line provided as you requested us to do. That gas line also feeds the pool heater. When the Gas pool heater turns on, there is not enough fuel to feed both the Generator and the pool heater at the same time. We failed our gas inspection due to your pool company not sealing the penetration holes. We are thankful it was Manatee County since they are reasonable and allowed us to fix your contractor mistakes at no cost to them. We would be happy to fix this gas line issue for the $300.00 deduction and make it right the way it should have been from the beginning which was our original proposition. Please let us know how you would like to proceed, and we look forward to hearing back. Thank you!
