This is an update. August 2014...After speaking with the mgr, Unsal and feeling like I wasn't being heard, I pursued my situation with the owner, Greg Hoehner and was pleased. I will use Generx in the future.

As a Generx customer for years, I req the annual service $219.95,my unit was working fine. Matt,the technician did the work on 7-25-14, but stated I needed a new battery for $200.00, I agreed. Matt then sd I needed a starter switch, around $ 25.00, I agreed. We were confused with the bill of $594.88. There was an additional $100.00 labor charge that was not quoted. I called & emailed Matt and he said his mgr would call me. On 8-6-2014 the work was done & Unsal,mgr called but sd I was told of the chrg. I was not. On other annual svc May 2013 w/rotten bellow and rtn trip- chrg was only $253.00

I had an issue with my generator not starting. I called Generx and they got me on the schedule within two days. The technician that came out to my residence was very knowledgeable and professional. He was able to answer all of my questions and concerns. He had my generator up and running the same day. This company has very reasonable prices and i would recommend them to any and everyone. I was very pleased with the work performed. They seem like they have been in business for a very long time.

They did a great job diagnosing an obscure issue. They also gave me some tips for ongoing maintenance a and sold me a gel battery at a good price. I have recommended them to a friend and will use them in the future.

I called that company because my generator was not working. They came the day after, did a great job fixing it, taking the time to explain the problem. The only negative point is that they just fixed the problem but did not do anything for other elements that they detected could become a problem (changing oil and filters) even if they told me it needed to. They said I needed to book for a maintenance appointment, meaning paying another +/- 300$ while the guy was already there, took his time to detect the potential issues and could have done it easily.

Thank you for your comments. Generx technicians do have different skill sets in which they were trained. Some of our techs are extremely versed in diagnostic and repairs, while others perform basic maintenance as well as other light repairs. Unfortunately we are unaware of who this customer is, but if possible we would like to discount our normal charge for service in order to complete the maintenance items that were not done that day. As hurricane season will soon be upon us and If the customer would call Greg Hoerner at the office I would be happy to schedule the services that have not been completed. Regards, Greg Hoe

The generator hasn't been installed yet but Generex provided the best price by five thousand dollars, communication has been excellent and I'm expecting good work. You have to be very carefull dealing with the rip-off contractors, doctors, dentists and lawyers in Florida. Get 3 to 5 quotes because Florida contractors try to get twice as much another.
