The company is fine. Our technician was fine. However, he couldn't explain anything to me except to use the same words over and over. The prices were outrageous-fee to come out to the house, fee to fix one part, fee to add another part and the technician couldn't explain why I needed any of the parts. Nor could he explain alternative solutions to save me money. Call around and check somewhere else.
Response from Company:
Thank you for the review and your comments as we do appreciate any and all feed back. I would be more than happy to come out myself to go over any and all findings to ensure you have as many options as possible for fixing the fireplace to get it back to manufacturer's specifications and safe to use as is. Our office will be following back up with you to see if we can set up a time and date for the follow up as we never want any of our customers to feel like they don't have any options. I'd lie to complete another diagnostics at no cost and provide you with as much information as possible. We appreciate your time and value your business so we will be calling to set up a follow up if you'd be willing. Thank you agian! I didn't give a 5 star because I thought a $105 service fee was quite expensive for just a quick inspection and to show us how to turn on our fireplace. However, the sweep was friendly and knowledgeable so I would probably hire them again in the future.

Value seemed okay but I had to take a lot of the information on faith. The price of $190 for inspection seemed expensive for the amount of time spent (20 minutes). The result was either don't use your fireplace or spend over $6,000. It felt like a threat to get me to spend more money.
Response from Company:
Thank you for review Bob. Upon seeing the review, we tried to reach back out to see if you'd like for our general manager Mark Roberts, or the owner, Jon Geypens, to come back out to go over options and more information on the findings for the cleaning and inspection of your wood insert. However, we still haven't heard back from you but we'd still be more than willing to do this. From Kade's findings, he found tiles cracked in the open fireplace flue and per the IRC (international residency code) and the National Fire Protection Association, all cracked tiles SHALL be removed and replaced with a new industry standard liner. Thus, a reline or a positively connected insert would be the options in order to get the chimney/flue back up to code. If you'd like, we'll be more than happy to provide the code references and NFPA 211 page numbers if need be. All of our technicians are CSIA Certified Sweeps. We are the most certified chimney sweep/repair company in the Denver metro area. Again, we do appreciate your feedback and would love the chance for the GM or the owner to come out and go over everything with you to ensure you have all your questions answered and know all of your options. Thank you again and we hope we're able to assist with any and all fireplace needs you may have in the future. Mark Roberts - General Manager - Chimney Sweeps of America - 303-973-7376
