"This was a complicated project involving removal of an electric meter and gas meter, installing a new electric panel, disconnecting and removing a stove, dishwasher, sink, installing a new water heater and removing two old ones;and also capping a gas line and finding and fixing leaks in the gas lines. The work crews arrived on time, were courteous and good humored, and finished in the allotted three days, with minimum disruption to the family's routine. The charges were the ones included in the estimates, with no extra costs. The company took care of filing the necessary permits and scheduling the necessary inspections by the utilities and town building inspectors. All of this was taken care of with the utmost proficiency. The company has an after-hours phone line for employees to get in touch with tech support when needed. But the most important thing from my perspective was the fact that the workers seemed to enjoy their work and all of them put in 12-hour days, when some of them could have left at a normal hour because they were not needed to "finish up." They just wanted to be around in case they were needed. Finally, the office staff was immediately responsive to phone calls and messages. We were also happy to have found one company to take care of the entire project, both the electric and the plumbing. This company is the best I have ever worked with."

I asked what the fee would be to have the company come out to asses the unit?he told me what the price was and explained that if and when the they checked it out that fee would be in the total price for parts, and labor. "I hired Metropolitan Paint to build bookcases with library lighting, a hidden pantry closet, install new bathroom fixtures & paint. Their work was outstanding. Kenny checked in on the project daily, everyone showed when they said they were going to show up, they stayed on schedule and - most importantly - my Superintendent made a point of telling me how impressed he was with everyone's professionalism and will be recommending them for future projects in the building. No easy feat for a persnickety UES building that can try the patience of the kindest souls. I would absolutely recommend Metropolitan Paint to anyone for any job."

"We had a persistent bathroom sink stoppage. Couldn't clear it with commercially available drain chemicals or a snake. We called Draino Sewer and asked for a price. Rob called us back promptly and gave us a firm price. We even got a senior discount on his already best price. He called to let us know when he was on his way. "A few months back, my wife and I found Lazer's (owner of NYC Plumbing, Heating and Drain Cleaning) contact info via Google HomeAdvisor as we needed to get a boiler installed, but luckily at that time the boiler company provided free installations - however, we saved Lazer's contact info incase we needed further work. Earlier today, I needed to get an urgent blockage/clog fixed in our basement sink and reached out to Lazer, who was beyond helpful in terms of pricing and availability. He sent one of his workers (Elton) who was not only able to resolve/fix the issue in a matter of mins, but Elton was also kind enough to fix/seal a pipe under the sink which our contractors messed up while installing it. Not only that, but Elton also saw my family and I struggling with a smart thermostat and he went out of his way to help us with the thermostat as well - Jack of all trades!! Lets just say, moving forward I know for sure Lazer and his team will be my go-to people for any plumbing needs. Not only are they fast, helpful and respond right away; but they are very knowledgeable, kind, respectful and very reasonably priced. Overall, amazing work and very reliable!! Highly recommend!!"
