Signed contract with Clear Choice Home Improvements in May of 2020 to install 10 windows in my house. After signing the contract, they took a 50% deposit (~$6,000). The salesman stated that a copy of the contract and a receipt would be emailed to me. I emailed them multiple times requesting a receipt and a copy of the contract without success. Finally, I received a copy of the contract and receipt. The salesman gave us an install timeline of 12 weeks. Window install was not until 20 weeks after contract signing and three no-shows (they called Friday and said they would be on-site Monday to install but then would not show up on Monday). When confronted they would state that something came up and could not make it or deny committing to a schedule. From that point, I requested all correspondence between myself and them to me via email. They would not agree to put anything in writing. Once they finally came to install them, the windows were improperly measured and were too large so the installer had to cut the new window frame to make them fit. The windows were approximately $1,680 per window and at that price, I expected them to be properly measured and installed correctly. Windows installed appear to not fit correctly as they are drafty and one of them is hard to close. They damaged the window casings during install (it appears the windows were forced into the opening and the interior casing was pushed into the house and the miters are no longer joining properly (large gaps) and no longer flush. The quarter round trim they installed is incorrect as there are gaps between the windows and the trim or between the quarter round and interior casing. The caulking they installed is extremely sloppy and is cracking after less than a month since installation. After install, there is a gap between the window frame and interior sill on some of the windows. The gap was filled with caulk which has yet to fully dry. They only sent one guy to install 10 windows in a day. When questioned whether or not that was normal, the installer admitted that the company is not doing well financially and had to lay off a lot of their installers and as a result, have to spread their remaining installers very thin and many times, only send one installer to a job. One window was broken during installation and the company says the new sash will not be installed until at least January (windows installed in mid-October). The post-job cleanup consisted of him blowing all the scraps off my driveway and into the yard. He did not clean up around the house, so I have been finding pieces of the old windows, nails, and sharp scrap pieces of metal trim around my yard. I have contacted the company about my concerns and they have no-showed three times now for sending someone to look at the concerns. Every time they plan to send someone, they will not commit to a time and instead expect me to take the whole day off from work and state that someone will contact me with their ETA however, I have yet to receive a call and now have used three days of leave from work.

Bernadette the sales rep was excellent! Went over everything, very up front. We purchased new shower, hardware, surround. She explained the whole process. There was a little delay due to COVID but completely understand. The person who installed the shower worked from 8:00am to 4:00pm and he was excellent. He was never on his phone, I don't even think he took a lunch. He repaired the wall that was previously damaged (part of why we wanted a remodel) left no mess. He didn't take any short cuts. He was wonderful. I would hire this company again. I wish they did kitchens!!! We even managed to stay under budget. Great Job!!!!!

The job was done quickly. Even when they ordered the wrong window, they were very professional and prompt in fixing their mistake!

From the first call to the final install, the employees were very friendly, professional, answered all my concerns and had great communication skills. The installers were able to start and finish my job earlier than expected, appeared to work well as a team and were very considerate of my home and yard. I'm sure I will be looking into other services this company offers to improve my 1972 era home.

Tub to Shower Conversion: We waited 12 weeks for the work to begin. We had to phone the company numerous times to get answers. When the installer came, he did not have the correct fixtures. He offered discounts - we never received them. Set up a new install date. Installers came and installed with a minor issues. Had to move a vent pipe. All seemed well! Until, I noticed water dripping from the pipes in the basement. Called them and they sent out a rep to check things out the next day. In the meantime, I try out the shower - loss of pressure and reduction in heat temperature. The rep finally finds the problem.... This was a leak where an installers previously had cut and rejoined a vent pipe. I am happy now BUT I wish I had done business with another company. You can NEVER talk to the owner. There is a definite lack of communication within this company, which is very frustrating. I would have to say that there were only two employees who saved this company from getting a **Poor** review - Sara and Khener who were efficient and showed pride in their work.

Clear Choice Home Improvements did an excellent job of installing gutters on our home. Alan, the salesperson, was very knowledgeable; Jessie and Josh, the installers, were professional, very skilled, and courteous; and Brianna, the gutter coordinator, called after the job to check if we were satisfied with the work. We would highly recommend Clear Choice Home Improvements to others.
