"We have had a problem with our main building drain line clogging once a year, every year, since we purchased our home 14 years ago. We had it cleared around Thanksgiving of 2022 and it was again blocked only 2 months later. Fed up, I wanted to understand what the exact problem was, and proceed with fixing it. Tim and I spoke at length and therein I explained the history behind the issue (including experience from rodding the line myself on previous occasions). Tim explained what he thought the problem might be, based on his experience, and discussed various options including firm costs (not the "well, it will cost somewhere between $5 and $50,000" BS). We talked for about 30 minutes whereas conversations with other plumbers usually lasted all of 3 minutes wherein they explained how much it would cost, how they expected to be paid, and when they could come out. Tim showed up promptly at the agreed-upon time with Pedro and the two of them went to work. Without going into details, those two spent approximately 4.5 hours working my issue during which time they mechanically rodded the line 5-6 times, ran a camera into the pipe following each rodding, and then hydro-jetted it twice (might have been three times and they inspected the line using the camera after each hydro-jetting as well). I paid extra for the hyrdo-jet but I knew that they would probably need to resort to this following our phone call and again, I understood going into it exactly what the cost would be. These guys really busted their tails (other plumbers were typically in and out in an hour or less) and from what I could actually see via the camera, Tim and Pedro appeared to fix the problem once and for all. I spent a lot of time with them (as an engineer, I am curious by nature) and I felt like there were times when they could have said "Yeah, good enough" but they would talk and say "yeah, we should really do [this] again." In summary, Tim and Pedro were very professional, VERY hard-working, and extremely thorough, and I received a service that I feel was far in excess of that provided by anyone previously. Tim is the only person that I will call in the future should I need this service again (but I doubt it!). Finally, there were not surprise or escalated costs. Fantastic experience! He suggested placing a tray under the tank that has a drain hose just in case the new tank eventually leaks then it won’t run all over my basement. "When our sewer line backed up, our first call was to a big box plumbing company. They put a camera in our line and found roots, and then wrote a plan to put in a cleanout with about 4 feet of pipe for a "small" sum of $20k. We had already signed the paperwork to go through with this when we found Wagner & Sons Plumbing. Michael Wagner was on the phone with me within minutes of me entering my inquiry and assured me that I was getting ripped off (which I was), and that he could take care of the job for a fraction of the cost and at tenfold the quality. He absolutely delivered on that. Because of the Easter holiday weekend and some terrible luck with weather following that, it took about 10 days, but the clay pipe from the house to the sidewalk (about 25 feet) was replaced, an outdoor cleanout station added, and inspection passed in about 6-hours time. They charged $6k for the entire job, and even fixed our toilet that the previous company took off. Great service and a friendly company!"
