"AFS was a great company to work with they adjusted the contract to complete necessary work that the Structural engineer noted in his report to me. Kevin salesman , crew, lead Johnny, Tanner, Shawn ,Twinkie(Tyler) were great , knowledgeable and walked me through each step they were doing, Salesman came out the first morning and was with us the first hour just to be of support to this old lady, Thanks Johnny and crew were constantly on the moved and very detailed and not afraid to redo steps that they felt were not to standard. Keep me informed of what steps they were taking and I felt like their knowledge was a winner to me , above and beyond what I expected . Not sure about the other crews , but you can't go wrong with the gentlemen who worked when me for 4 days off and on the rain and weather played a part in the length of the job not the company. A side note . I received 3 quotes form different companies I did chose the best one for my job .AFS"

"5.0 across the board. Most highly recommended! We got on-site, in-person estimates from all three companies in the Knoxville area that do concrete leveling. One company uses the mud jacking process (pumping a grout mixture under the concrete) which we were not so sure about after learning more about it, so we ruled them out. American Foundation, and their other main competitor, use the polyurethane injection process instead, which we liked better. Ultimately we selected American Foundation and Basement when their estimate was ONE THIRD what their competitor quoted. Their competitor quotes one price with unlimited poly. American quotes what they think the job will actually take, then advises you that it may take up to 10% more, at $11/lb if it does. I was quoted 300 lbs and the job ended up just under that, so I owed nothing more. Had I gone with their competitor, I would have paid nearly triple. And while they do not give a refund if the job uses less than the estimate, our crew was more than happy to void fill a couple of extra areas for us since we were still under the estimate. Overall, an incredibly professional and well-done experience from start to finish. I truly appreciated an accurate bid that asked me to pay for what they expected the job to cost. Nothing more and nothing less. Contrast that with a bid for triple the amount and lots of pressure to make a decision within 24 hours (to get a 10% discount off the already inflated price). The icing on the cake was the phone call from the competitor owner minutes after telling the competitor salesman that we decided to go with another company. Not only was he incredulous that I would go with American (I didn't name the company and nor did he, but he referenced poly injection, so that is who he meant), he assured me that ultimately, American would be more expensive by going over their estimate at the job site. Of course, as mentioned above, that never happened. Nice job, American Foundation & Basement Repair! Salesman Zollie Cantrell was a pro and very helpful. Foreman Scott and helper Travis could not have been more professional or careful. And Sales & Marketing Manager Scott Flanary was quick to call when he discovered a minor error in my favor on the balance paid. Hard working honest people."

"Thomas was fair and honest. He responded to my query on Angie’s List in less than 5 minutes. He answered my questions. He used a photo I texted him to get a rough estimate on repairing my broken toilet flange. Thomas came out at 9am the next morning (less than 12 hours from our conversation). He provided options for the repair, and did a top-notch job. He is my guy going forward. Highly recommended."

"Initially called to clear a backed-up drain line. They came and jetted the line and suggested installing an outdoor cleanout and running a camera through if problems persisted. I called them back to install the clean out and get a quote for replacing the line from house to street. The quote was the best one I received. They came and did the work and found a broken pipe. They replaced a section instead of the entire line. I found them to be honest, economical, and extremely professional. They cleaned up the mess and sowed grass seed in the areas that needed to be excavated.... all under the budgeted amount quoted. I will call Mark every time from now on! I highly recommend."

"Craig is awesome. He emailed me back on Yelp about 5 minutes after I inquired on a water heater repair. He was at my house in 35 minutes to look at the problem. After we discussed the options along with up front pricing, I decided on replacing the water heater. He said he could get the new water heater and install it the next morning. To his word he was here this morning before the scheduled time, and he and Scott started immediately. The heater was located in the crawl space so they worked in tight quarters.. I donâ t normally leave reviews, but in this instance, it is warranted. Based on my experience with Craig and Hicks Services I will use them in any future plumbing situations, and I do recommend if you need something fixed or repaired at your home you call them and give them a chance to earn your business. "I woke up the other day to no hot water, raced down into the basement and saw my water heater leaking onto the floor. I called Robert and he offered to come over right away and replace the tank even though he had planned to take the day off. I also had him install a safety shutoff to protect me from the next leak since my basement is finished, and it would have been catastrophic if we were not in the home to catch this leak. Feel some peace of mind now. He replaced all the components including the drain pan and performed all the work neatly and professionally. I plan to use him in the future."
