"Con Ed shut off gas at my parents house due to a suspected leak back in April. It literally took them less than 10 mins from initial call to the time they arrive to shut everything down. While scrambling for plumbers, we stumbled upon Hydraulics. Angelo came for a walk thru and was told we had to get asbestos report done (which was really just a waste of $450) but needed to do it anyway before he could come and installed new pipes the following day (it was a one day job). The day after pipes were installed, we were told that Con Ed would come to turn gas back on- which was not the case because Con Ed was such a nightmare to deal with- They dont give you a reasonable time frame of when they will come and my parents waited the entire day and no one showed! Even at 10pm, we were told that they would still come because; the emergency teamwork 24/7. Frustrated, I called Con Ed the next day and was told that; yes, everything is fine and they will come today, and another call half hour later saying; the plumber did not complete the checklist and we that we have to wait until Monday; Like are you serious right now? Why are you telling me different stories? I told Tina the situation and learned that Con Ed DOES THIS ALL THE TIME- because they are understaffed and would make up any excuses possible and make it seem like the fault is on YOU. Anyhow, Tina made a few calls and Con Ed came within a few hours and gas was back on. Then came the Department of Building issue. All appliances have to be registered and they changed their policy where licensed plumbers cannot do self inspection and someone from DOB has to come for the walk thru- THAT took 3 weeks and we finally got the clearance/ sign off on the job yesterday. There was also a lag time of a few weeks getting someone from DOB to come. I just wanted to thank Tina and Angelo for the whole process. They are professional people to work with. The only thing my dad complained was the holes Angelo made on the ceiling and some broken panels while installing the gas pipes- like other reviewers had mentioned."

"Realized my boiler was leaking.......a very stressful thing to happen as we are entering the colder months. Consulted Home Advisor and was connected with On time Heating and Piping. I explained to Matthew I would need a new boiler. He went a step further and offered to replace and reconnect my basement heating loop and pump. I thought this would have been another job; but he gave me a fair price to do everything. On time Piping and Heating was timely, neat and provided quality workmanship. "A few months back, my wife and I found Lazer's (owner of NYC Plumbing, Heating and Drain Cleaning) contact info via Google HomeAdvisor as we needed to get a boiler installed, but luckily at that time the boiler company provided free installations - however, we saved Lazer's contact info incase we needed further work. Earlier today, I needed to get an urgent blockage/clog fixed in our basement sink and reached out to Lazer, who was beyond helpful in terms of pricing and availability. He sent one of his workers (Elton) who was not only able to resolve/fix the issue in a matter of mins, but Elton was also kind enough to fix/seal a pipe under the sink which our contractors messed up while installing it. Not only that, but Elton also saw my family and I struggling with a smart thermostat and he went out of his way to help us with the thermostat as well - Jack of all trades!! Lets just say, moving forward I know for sure Lazer and his team will be my go-to people for any plumbing needs. Not only are they fast, helpful and respond right away; but they are very knowledgeable, kind, respectful and very reasonably priced. Overall, amazing work and very reliable!! Highly recommend!!"

"I can not say enough about Egli plumbing. Finding a good plumber is like striking gold. And the definition of a good plumbing company in my mind is someone that thoroughly inspects the situation, takes there time with the estimate, thoroughly explains the damage with what is needed for repair or replace, and gives a honest estimate for the work. Then lastly follows through with good work. Egli plumbing is 5 stars across the board. They took the time to not only evaluate the issue but stayed until the job was done right. We took on major damage to our main sewer line in the basement. They did a full replacement, installed new traps, and put in check valves to prevent further flooding issues. Our situation was dyer and they never once tried to take advantage of our situation with price gouging or doing un necessary work. We will be using Egli plumbing for all future projects, as well as calling on them annually for maintenance checks."
