Happy to help!
Per village code, a water heater must have solid gas pipe going into it. Mine had flexible pipe. Precision Plumbing sent Dan Collins to my home to perform the gas pipe repair. It looks good. While he was here, I asked him to replace the copper flexible pipe water lines to the water heater. My budget allowed for the gas line repair. Although the additional copper pipe repair exceeded my budget, I do feel that I got my money's worth. My water pressure has increased significantly. Good job Dan!

The cost was ridiculous. They couldn't or wouldn't itemize the work. They told me it would be over $1000 to install a basic sump pump that you can buy for $170. When I told them to pack up the price was dropped to $600 quickly. Still expensive. They should itemize the work order so you know what you are paying for. There is no way I would ever call Precision for service, installation or anything else.
The technician provided 6 options-including the 600 option, all of them upfront. The client authorized a higher end system and the technician got to work. Once the work underway, the client and spouse changed their mind and selected a completely different system for a lesser amount.
There were two components of my job request. One was to unstop dual sinks in my master bathroom. While the first plumber worked on trying to rod out the pipes after 30 minutes he finally called for another plumber who had the right tool. The second plumber unstopped the sinks within a matter of minutes. The second request was to replace a fill valve in the toilet. After completing the task he recommended that he put in a new flapper for $45. Since the toilet did not have a running problem when the service request was made I couldn't understand why this was needed so declined. The toilet started running while the second plumber was finishing up the work on the sinks and I stated I needed to replace the flapper. Needless to say this didn't stop the toilet from running. After doing my own root cause analysis I found that the flush valve cylinder was loose and there was a slow leak coming from it. I placed another call and was given the same plumber. I explained what I found and he accused me of blaming him while denying he broke it and quoted me a of cost $300 to replace it. He said he would work with me on the price after I told him I might as well buy a new toilet. I said no thanks, made calls to other plumbers explaining what I found and they said that the tube had to break during the installation of the fill valve. I hired one of the plumbers I spoke with and he confirmed that the cylinder had been broken and the reason for the repeated running toilet. Mind you during this time the toilet was inoperable. The cost to fix it was $145 vs $300 plus parts and took him only a few minutes to repair. I cannot recommend a business who doesn't stand behind their work, thinks a customer is accusing them instead of accepting responsibility and fixing the damage done. I also feel they are overpriced as compared to other companies.
