You have to drive schedule, there is no sense of urgency with Hometown. There is no communication unless you call them, the office staff do not know what customer service is. Bottom line higher priced than others and less responsive

Salesman was rather pushy but I'm happy with the work. I was told upfront it would take probably 12 weeks to get the windows & sliding glass door made. They accommodated my work schedule & left everything neat & tidy. The installer was clean cut, professional & friendly. Initially I thought the windows were pricey but I really didn't shop around so shame on me.

Great, quality people to work with. The doors are built for life and work flawlessly. Slight scuffs and dents on the final product are my only complaint.

They were prompt in responding. Salesman was personable but after signing papers we didn't hear anything for 12 weeks and when I made calls they were very slow in responding. When subcontractor came out no supplies had been delivered. When supplies had been delivered subcontractor did very well and finished his part quickly. Now two weeks have passed and we are still waiting for our roof and for the electrical to be replaced that was disconnected. And again no communication of any sort to let us know what is happening. I am very frustrated and very unhappy. At this point I would not and will not recommend Midtown Home to anyone..

One of the worst experiences we have had. Quality is ok, but everything else was not so great. We were told the project of tile in a small toilet closet, another bathroom and custom vanity would take 5 days. It took one month and one week. We were told they would lay down plastic and basically leave no trace of them being there or any mess. Our garage was where they decided to dump the old floors, toilets and sink. It sat there for almost a month. The first day they said they would be there at 7 am. Called at 8am to say they would be there by noon. They showed up at 2 pm. They did this everyday they came. The first week they were there, they maybe worked 5 hours. Save yourself the time and money. Read the rest of the reviews. We didn't and we regret it. In addition, there was an extremely long wait for the parts to come in. All The parts for the project were not there when they started. They measured the bathroom 3 different times by 3 different people. Had to miss work so they could measure. I believe a one time measurement should be sufficient.

The installer was extremely nice and was a jack of all trades. He would absolutely be the person you hire yourself to install everything you buy on your own if you couldn't do it yourself. Unfortunately if you are paying a company to completely remodel your bathroom you want a professional plumber, electrician, mud and taper, etc... When you pay a company to remodel a bathroom you are paying twice as much as doing it yourself which is fine if you get the craftsmanship you are paying for. Paying twice as much for the quality you can do yourself is a bad money decision. The salesman sold a great project only to be completely deceived throughout. Was told work area cleaned up after each day, which didn't happen and still have stuff in my house weeks later from project. Was sold on professionalism and have gouges in my walls, had to hire a different contractor to come out and redo the caulking, had to reinstall the accessories on the wall myself to be level, just today found the HVAC vent not even attached to wall, etc..... Not once did a representative of the company actually come out to my house after the salesmen, just the subcontractor. Original supplies given to subcontractor incorrect. He was only given one piece of drywall to completely gut and refinish a whole bathroom. The vanity I received is not the one we were told we were getting and might end up ripping out and putting a different one in. The project was given an estimate of 3 weeks when most other companies gave 2 weeks and it still took over 5 weeks. Wouldn't use this company for anything. Would probably hire the subcontractor for installation help but definitely not for a complete project at not fault to his own. Completely unacceptable for a company to charge what they did and still have to hire another company to finish the job. Also no one came out from Midtown during the entire project to see how things were going or how it finished. My wife loved having to get the shop vac out when the plumbing leaked all over my basement. She also loved having to clean the basement carpets full with water the day before a party from the leak. Maybe if Midtown cared they would have come looked at their work but obviously they don't. Have already talked two people out of using them and hope this post prevents others from making the costly mistake I made. The sad thing is I didn't go with the cheapest bid and wish I did. The other two bids were cheaper and included all materials and included them painting. With Midtown they don't paint and they only came close to the other bids because you have to buy the tub, vanity top, faucets, toilet, shower doors, shower faucets, drain, etc... yourself. Save yourself the money and heartache and use someone else.

The project was to install a new bathroom in the basement that had no rough-in. They worked with me on materials and helped me stay within my budget. They were a little slow to start, but the finished work was high quality and exactly what I was looking for.

Went very well except for weather. Kept me informed about changes needed to do properly as some adjustments needed to be made since stairs not lined up properly before, and deck not exactly square (only we know about the fix)!! They also installed a new fan which we purchased and covered the exposed beam with aluminum to make it look better. Cleaned up all debris and were very polite and professional.
