Great company but due to budget we did not hire

Very informative however we did not select because of our budget

We requested that HCR come on a Saturday morning to inspect our roof and give us an estimate. The representative arrived on time and was very knowledgeable on all the different products offered. He also knew what materials our specific HOA would approve. Once we decided to go with HCR they ordered the materials and within a week they called to schedule the roof replacement date. They delivered the materials the day before and placed them on the roof. The delivery truck left a deep tire tread in our lawn, so if that worries you be sure to tell them beforehand where you would like them to park the truck. On the day of the roof replacement a crew of three arrived at 7 am and were completely finished with the roof and all cleanup by 5:30 pm. We received regular communication from them throughout the entire process by email and phone. In the end we were very pleased with the quality of work. We also really liked the warranty so if there is ever a storm that blows off shingles or causes other damage we can call HCR to have repairs done.

I love the idea of a 50 year warranty. I sleep much better knowing that is a shingle blows off or there is a leak I have someone to call for as long as I am going to stay in my house. Here are the issues I had. Installation took much longer than stated. I was told my house was going to take one maybe two days to install a new roof. It took three and a half days. Most of the time there was only two people working on my house, there should have been at least 4 or 5. After the initial install, it took another two months to close the project out. There were two significant issues. The first was there was a hole in the plywood. This could have been caused when they were hammering old nails back into the plywood. I only found the hole because it was right above the Christmas decorations in the attic. This required them to re roof half of the garage. HRC was really good about coming out and fixing it no questions asked. The second issue was a gap between the side of the house and the mansard roof. The gap was about an inch and a half. Once again HRC was good about coming out and fixing it but that is something that should have been caught by the foremen not me the home owner. Be mindful of what is in your quote and what you are paying for. In my contract there were several items that did not get installed like dip edge, flashing, chimney flashing kit etc. I brought this to their attention and they refunded me the cost of that material. If I would not have said anything they wouldn't not have said anything. This to me is borderline dishonest and shady. I like their warranty but there needs to be better oversight during the project. It is questionable if I would use this contractor again.

I had a great experience. They showed up on time and immediately started focusing on work. The windows were excellent and it increases heat efficiency very much. Chris Dobbin is the sales representative. He is extremely helpful. He addressed all my questions and concerns immediately.
