Repair a Generator

Have had nothing but VERY positive experiences with the Anderson staff since I bought this home 2 years. Anybody in Western NY that gets James or Chris assigned to their job is in good hands. Incredibly professional and knowledgable.

Your two men did an excellent job hooking up my generator. They were very friendly, answered all my questions. Did an awesome job with the clean up. Renovate or Repair a Home

I bought a Cummins Generator. The installers blew up my basement because they installed it incorrectly and had to get a refund for a thousand dollars. Then the generator turned on and caught on fire. They replaced the generator and the second one blew up again. When I called back the personnel were nasty and told me they don't want to deal with this and call Cummins. Beware BAD Company Do not buy or work with this company. Sales people lie to everyone to not by Generac but guess what It is the best for Buffalo. Don't deal with this fake company

Repair a Generator

The service tech Mike was very knowledgeable about the generator problem. He was able to fix it in about an hour. The problem was the generator did not turn on when the power went off last week. Mike was very good explaining to me what caused the problem. Thanks again Mike.

Install a Fixed Generator

We really like the professional job done by Paul, James III and Nate, they answered all our questions and explained everything to our understanding. They are no doubt well-trained in their field and dedicated to the reputation of the company. Kudos to our saleperson Tom, who also happens to be the president. We had on-location visits from 3 companies to have a whole-house generator installed and no doubt picked the best company.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
