Very professional technician. Arrived on time. Tested the capacitor and replaced it. We turned on the A/C system and within a minute the pressure was within an acceptable range. Then he pointed to a leak of refrigerant on the bottom of the compressor, that I could not see. Except refrigerant is not liquid at atmospheric pressure. It instantly vaporizes. That is why I could not see it. He said I suggest you replace the entire system. I asked why and how much would it cost, and why not replacing just the compressor. He said nowadays with newer laws if you replace the condenser, you need to replace the entire system; you could replace just the compressor but it would cost you $4,000. And other parts may fail. Your A/C was manufactured in 2013. A new system would cost around $14,000 As we talked the pressure reached 50psi. i asked and he said "the refrigerant is about 8% down". I asked what the lower threshold limit is, and he said about 60% You see I happened to be an engineer, and although I do not know the details, I know the principles of physics applied on A/C systems. So I knew what questions to ask. This company charged me $263.00 to replace a failed capacitor. On amazon the very same part - I took a photo of its box - costs $14. I suspected the problem was the capacitor, and I wrote that in my inquiry. He immediately tested the capacitor as soon as he arrived, and replaced it. So if I would have installed the capacitor myself it would have cost a thousand times less than a complete system replacement. Something is very wrong here. Why are these technicians trained to lie to customers?

Had new AC/Heating unit installed- great until we tested the heater, no heat at all. They promptly sent repairman next day but he was unable to fix heater. Another repairman, Robert, came promptly the following day & was able to fix problem quickly & thoroughly explain situation - great job. Customer service was great- prompt & efficient solution to problem. All workers were courteous & professional . Would highly recommend 1 Hour AC/Heating.
