Don and his crew are THE BEST! Harvey wiped out my house 4' down and the entire kitchen. Don put it back together even better than I imagined. Timing, price, work quality, customer service, and reliability all 100, 5 STAR, THE BEST!

Replaced Vinyl siding with Hardi Plank. Very responsive. Gave a bid and estimated time. Did what they said they would do, on time very professional.

This was a 4 part project. Demo an old patio cover and deck, remove 40 year old wood siding, and rebuild. The good: the deck was replaced with a concrete patio. These guys were amazing! Even with 2 weeks of delays for weather, they were very good at communication and cleaned up their work site every day. At the end of that job, Benny's crew even power washed the entire area and cleaned my windows! The ok: the patio cover and new Hardie siding install was done by a separate crew. While the finished product looks amazing, there were several bumps in the road. All of these can be attributed to the lack of supervision, which I address later. We failed inspection since the guys closed up an area the inspector needed to see and did not plan correctly for the size of the beams to ensure they woluld fit on the patio as opposed to hanging off the sides. The bad: as I eluded to, the lack of supervision led to a number of issues with the project. When I hire a GC, I expect them to supervise the work and ensure it is being done correctly. That was not the case. The only time the GC was at our home was when I made contact, asking to meet, or to collect checks. Also, noone was present when the inspector shwed up so my husband who works 12 hour days, had to talk to the man about the project. I would have expected either the GC or the foreman to be present for this, not just the homeowner. This lack of supervision led to the above issues as well as the final straw, so to speak. The electrial work done was subpar, to say the least. We had rope lighting installed on the cedar beams of the patio, fans installed to circulate aie, and a new switch installed to control this in the home. All of this work was done incorrectly. For reasons unknown, the person sent did not seem to understand what he was supposed to do and argued with us when we told him the rope lighting should be on top of the beams, not on the botom. He installed the fans incorrectly and also cut a wire inside the home, causing half my living room power to go out. After telling us he needed to cut open a large area of our drywall to fix the issues, we asked him to leave. We contacted the GC and asked him to come inspect the final product. He agreed it was substandard and looked atrocious but took our check anyway. To his credit, he did offer to install a fence for us free of charge (old fence was torn down to install the patio and cover) but we declined. We figured it best to cut ties and move on. We ended up hiring an electrician who had done work for us previously to correct the errors from the improper install and I'm glad we did. They found several wires uncapped behind the wall they said could have caused a fire. $1300 later, the electrical was all working and correct. Final thoughts: We wanted to like this company since we have a lot of projects to complete in this home ans we made this clear. Unfortunately that was not the case and I do not recommend them. If you don't mind being you

Response from Company:

The homeowner reported electrical issues left by the previous owner before we started the project. What she is commenting on was a result of problems left by the previous owner, not caused by our electrician. All of his work passed City of Houston inspection. Naturally we would never comment that our electricians work looked atrocious as she claims. Also, the owner was in possession of the plans for several weeks prior to commencement of the project and agreed with the design. The owner later said they wanted the design changed which caused us to re-enlist our designer to re-draw plans and re-submit to the city for approval. We did not charge the owner for the re-design or changes. As for supervision; each crew has a supervisor and the company owner was present frequently for many inspections of the progress of the work. As she mentioned her husband works long hours as she does . So, obviously they have no idea how much supervision was actually provided, although she erroneously comments that it was not done. With an average 4.57 rating out of close to 100 reviews it seems apparent that we do our best to make sure all of our clients are happy with our work. Unfortunately you can't please some people even if you offer to do it for free (as we did the fence).

everything went pretty smoothly with our installation. Unfortunately we were delayed with our installation for various reasons, Harvey the main one and one window (a trapezoid) made incorrectly, it went great. We had major amounts of windows, 32 in all. Some we had two made into one so if we had kept the same it would had been 48 windows. Made a huge change in the look of our house. Would definitely recommend them.

Not a great experience with this company

Response from Company:

This job was performed around 3/17/2015 with no comments or complaints from the client at that time or anytime since then. We installed windstorm certified windows in one day. We would be happy to address any issues the client has if it is brought to our attention. To make any comments after almost two years seems a bit unusual, but we stand behind our work and would be happy to resolve any issues. We pride ourselves on the work we perform and on satisfied clients. When reviewing our notes on the job no complaints were made at any time during or after project completion.

Master Remodelers replaced all the wood siding on my house and did an outstanding job. The crew we had working on our house was excellent and worked non-stop during the hot August heat. The crew was very friendly and professional. We have gotten so many compliments from our neighbors as to the quality of work they did. I would highly recommend Master Remodelers to anyone.
