This deck has been in process since early September. This home improvement company was excellent in the past. Now they are into bait and switch. I have pictures and emails that I will be submitting to several local, state and federal agencies. The deck framing structure was place incorrectly, the foreman and his supervisor came out and provided a solution. They pinned the issue on the Salesperson, who is not a deck builder. I submitted drawings and was approved by my Community Architecture Review Board. Champion stated that they had never received the drawings and yesterday, after I allowed them to fix the issue I am not a deck builder but it is not being built as I request. I have asked for a deck plan and a re-submit to the ARB of what they plan to do, they said they could fix it. THIS IS NOT THE CASE - NEVER HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR FOR DECK BUILDING. I am writing to the BBB and FTC today and you will be able to see the whole story that will include pictures and written conversation from them, the Salesperson at least.

This issue was a communication issue between the sales team and installation team regarding what needed to be done. When we were made aware of the issues we took down the old deck and put in the right design for the customer. I hope she will update the review soon.

Felt cost was a bit pricey, especially cost to get estimate of what needed to be done. Job was done. It looks better than how it had looked, so for that I am thankful.

I was very pleased with the work they did. However, I felt their price for a follow up inspection of some related work was very high and and I chose not to get it done, but the original job was fine.
