Baird Foundation Repair

My experience to date with Baird Foundation Repair First name initials used to keep it from being personal but Baird should be able to confirm. Almost 7 months ago now I met with Baird representative (Mr T). He measured the elevations of the home floor and perimeter distance of the house. He drew up a contract which included piers and polyfill as well as some floor board removal to put in 3 needed piers in the middle of the house. I agreed and paid deposit. The next day (Mr T) called and said he would like to meet with me again and review the contract. The next early morning he explained that they were no longer doing polypill under the whole house and wrote void on the contract. I was shocked but listened to his proposed new plan. They suggested putting pollifill on the perimeter of house from the inside. I pointed out to him that the whole flooring of the house was laminate wood and to drill frequently spaced holes for polyfill would destroy the value of the home. He appeared to not get my point. I was boiling inside that he would suggest such a destructive plan. Eventually we agreed they would make sure enough dirt on perimeter of the house was present at the completion of the job. On questioning he said they had a couple of months of work in front of me. I began getting worried after 2 months and no one contacted me. After 4 months I was finally contacted by Mr B who was based in San Antonio and said that I was close to getting my work started. After another long wait period of perhaps a month a Mr. KB contacted me letting me know he was taking over my home project. He informed me that Mr B was no longer with them nor was Mr T. Shortly after, an engineer came by to review the proposed plan. He did not agree with it and said he would get back to Baird with modifications needed. On discussing some inside floor board removal from the house that was proposed and breaking thru the slab for piers he pointed out that tunneling from the outside was an option and he would pass on my concern to Baird. After another 2 to 3 weeks the city of Corpus gave approved plan for project. About six months total Baird eventually showed up and began the project. Mr M the job forman met with me and I explained the poor communications and jerked around feeling I have been getting from the company. He apologized and said he would do his best to keep me in the loop on my project at all time. Unfortunately it has been raining for perhaps 2 weeks and further work has not progressed passed the initial 2 days. Mr M did call today (6/4/2021) letting me know that likely they will be coming out early next week barring any further rain. Later today I received a call from Ms A (office person) asking if I could call them to update them on the weather here in Corpus and they may get to me at the end of next week. After hearing how she wanted me to watch the weather for them and call them with updates was very disappointing. I explained that Mr M had earlier contacted me with a plan to be here early next week. I was planning on doing a review of them after the completion of the project but I feel obligated to inform the consumers of their business of how they function. I would hope that my experience would be unusual but I doubt it given the poor communications in the business and what I suspect is a high turnover rate of employees. Watching the crews that did the 2 days of work was very good and have no complaints with them. If you are considering getting foundation work done you may want to shop elsewhere as I suspect that the work culture of this company is poor. If you decide to use their business communicate options with the engineer that comes by as he is not a Baird employee. Updates may be needed to this in the near future. Today is 6/4/2021

Very pleasant staff-office, sales, and work crew. Pleased with the work and the way I was treated.

We had sinking concrete both in our sidewalk and driveway panel next to the garage apron. We hired Baird to do the repairs, including also sealing all of the driveway expansion joints. The results of this job exceeded our expectations and couldn't have asked for anything better. The team was very personable, professional and were happy to explain and demonstrate every step of the way. Highly recommend Baird.

The team leader, Steven and his crew are true professionals and second to none! When they arrived Steven took the time to explain the process for the repair and ensured that I clearly understood how it was going to be accomplished. I'm very impressed with the communication between Steven and his crew, each team member is very skilled in their craft. Upon completion of the repair, Steven walked around to ensure I was completely satisfied with the workmanship. They left the area around my home spotless! I would recommend Baird Foundation Repair to family and friends! If anyone has a requirement for Foundation Repair I highly recommend giving Baird Foundation a call. Physical work at address went very well. Getting paperwork to document the repair is difficult. I requested the measurements before the foundation was lifted and the measurements after the foundation was lifted and stabilized. I still waiting 2 weeks to receive.

Diego and team were very informative and professional. Job well done.

I have nothing but good things to say about them. The rep came out, took pictures of what was existing under the house and worked with me on a budget that would fit my bank account. (My house is almost 100 years old, and different codes existed different times - vents, beams and piers.) The crew did their work starting early, coordinated with me on their schedule and my pups. (Letting the pups outside in the backyard and such.) And, when a crack was discovered in the existing cast iron pipes (plumbing where the house settled on the pipe) the crew worked around my plumbers. The company helped me finance the first phase of the job, which has been helpful with working within my budget.

From the sakes department to the installers BAIRD was professional the whole way. Thank you to Victor and the install team for being respectful efficient.

The team that was lead by Adrian did an outstanding job. They were prompt, courteous and always informative. Just to name a few members of Adrian's team that provided excellent service were - Albert, David, Damien, Andrea, Diego, Alex Mireles -(Hollingsworth Pack), Steve Sanchez -( Diamond Plumbing). Each of them did a great job working together to get the job done as planned.
