Write a ReviewIn early August, 2023 I was going to have a french drain done, or a trench, to redirect the water flow around my driveway when it rains. A neighbor of mine had heard about Baird Foundation and recommended I give them a call. I called Baird about fixing my driveway which had tilted slightly from side to side over the years, the walkway to the front door, and also seven slabs around my pool that had moved. Upon the initial inspection on August 18, I told the Baird representative that I was thinking of having a french drain put in but the Baird representative was confident that Baird Foundation could fix the issues and gave me an estimate. I called him back a couple of days later and signed on. A couple of weeks later, as the crew was setting up to start, the lead technician said he "could lift the slab up, but could not push it down" (referring to the corner of the drive that had tilted up slightly. I told him if they can fix the problem with the drive that I was okay with that corner raised a bit and they started to work. When I returned from work that day, they were trying to jack up the corner of my garage and a third technician arrived and told them to stop. The driveway is not attached to the garage and I did not authorize Baird to do any work on the garage foundation. They finished later that afternoon and returned the next day to finish their work. When they finished, the lead technician told me he “could not fix the driveway”. If the technician had said they could not fix the drive, I would have told him to leave it, and just do the other areas of the job. It was later twice implied by the General Manager that I was lying about this. That was quite offensive. I inspected the other work they did and found that the slabs around the pool, and the walkway out front, were not adjusted properly. I told him I could not sign off on it until the work was done correctly. I later spoke with the Baird General Manager and sent her pictures of the errors in their work. Weeks later in mid-October, another one of their crews, including their field supervisor, came back and corrected the slab work around the pool and the walkway leading to the front door. On October 26th, the last day that their field supervisor was there, I asked him "if you knew you couldn't fix the driveway, why did you work on it in the first place?" He said “to stabilize it, to fill in any pockets or crevices.” He also said maybe I should try the french drain that I spoke about. In a phone call trying to come up with a resolution, Baird’s General Manager, asked me what I thought they should do. I told her that "Baird should remove the driveway portion from the bill." Two of their employees have already said “they knew they couldn't fix it." She then said that I was trying to cheat Baird out of money when in fact, that is what this company has done to me. While most of the employees were very polite and friendly, this management was highly unprofessional. The attached photos of my driveway (shot the last day the supervisor was at my house) are what they left me with. Based on my experience with this company, I would not recommend them to anyone.
Thank you for your detailed feedback, this review has been resolved since it was submitted.
Just know after Baird cracks your plumbing pipes and doesn't level your foundation, they will tell you that it's not their fault and it's not covered under their so called "warranty"
We understand your frustration and we apologize that you are experiencing issues with your foundation. As stated in our contract, plumbing leaks under the slab will render the warranty null and void, and our agreement allows us to determine if a leak is present at our sole discretion. After performing a post-test that showed no signs of a leak caused by the foundation lifting, it appears that a plumbing leak developed over time. We are committed to addressing the issue and finding a solution that works for all parties involved - which is why we have tried explaining this to you multiple times. Please contact our office to discuss this further. - John Chaney
Awesome job! Driveway and side walk looks new after leveling. I highly recommend Bairds.
We are so glad to hear this! Thanks so much for trusting Baird Foundation Repair with your home. Let us know if you need anything else at all.
If I could give zero stars I would! I was quoted around $4000 to raise my pool deck. Due to the time between my initial quote and the actual date of work, my foundation moved even more. Because of that, the amount was raised by $2000. I understood that it originally required 1 inch and now would require 3 inches. The additional amount of product required was the reason given for the increase. The problem was they didn't raise it by 3 inches. Once they started, they cracked the pool deck and therefore stopped raising it any further. They only raised the pool deck by the original 1 inch. But they never went down on the price, even though that was the reason for the increase. So now, it is not fixed, it has a 3 foot crack AND now it is uneven and water now collects in a dip that they created. The other issue: When the original salesman came to my home, he said that my pool deck needed to be raised but even more importantly, I need to address my driveway. He said the driveway was more crucial than the pool deck. So I added it. On the day of the service, I had to add the additional $2000 because of a larger scope of work (see above). Because I was stressed about the cost, he recommended that we don't do the drive way or only do half of the drive way because it "wasn't that bad". What? He originally sold that because it WAS so bad. So which was it? Was I duped into getting the drive way done in the original bid or was it not that bad? I can't be both. Integrity? Honesty? I contacted the manager, I was told she was the owner's daughter. I explained in depth the issue and she promised to look into and get back to me. I have waited over 3 weeks and she has yet to respond. Each time I call the office, I am told she is in a meeting. I leave my name, and still never receive a call back. Their website says the following sets them apart: 1. "Transparent pricing"- I did NOT receive that 2. "Honesty"- I did NOT I received that 3. "Quality & efficiency"- I definitely did NOT receive that Buyer beware- They do not do business with Integrity and honesty. They also will never call you back once they get your money.
The job was completed on time and on budget

I was getting a quote for Tax purposes and to also find out about my foundation problems. Jude is the representative for the company. He was very friendly, informative and showed all the credentials for the company. Explained everything in detail with his findings and provided me with cost & payment plans. Was very pleased with his whole presentation and how easy it was to talk with him. He is a great asset to your company!!
Tina- thank you so much for your 5-star review and for allowing Jude to inspect your home! We're so glad to hear about his superior service and professional manner. If you have any questions about what he presented to you- please don't hesitate to reach out!
Great experience with a very professional crew. The work of fixing my front sidewalk and driveway was completed quickly, on time, and looks great now! Thanks to Jackie and Ryan, who did the repair work. They were friendly, efficient, and quickly completed all the work needing to be done. They answered all my questions. I would go to Baird Foundation Repair without hesitation for any future foundation or concrete work, if the need develops. I'll be recommending Baird to all of my neighbors and friends. Oh, and the cost of the work being done actually came in a little under what I was expecting, which was a very nice surprise!
Thank you so much for your 5-star review and recognition of our amazing Poly crew, Jackie and Ryan! We truly believe our crews enjoy their craft and strive to provide the best possible service to our valued customers- like you!
Two neighbors mentioned them, & after reading the booklet they brought explaining how their procedure is superior to other options (going down to bedrock with galvanized steel pipes) I was sold. I was kept well informed as the project went along. I know they were careful when they dug & jack hammered.
Thank you for your feedback and 5-Star review. We're always glad to hear when are customers feel communicated with and taken care of. Please let us know if you need anything else! Thank you again for trusting Baird Foundation Repair with your home.
It was fine. It was what I requested
