Reviews
Write a ReviewArea Engineering / Area Construction two companies same owner were excellent! Work ethic was outstanding! The only company I could find willing to take on my project requiring structural repairs. Communications upfront was less desirable than I would have liked. Once the project began Greg gave his full attention, visiting the job site both days. I was concerned since there was no contract present for me to sign, just the signed statement of work/proposal. Once the job started, their work ethic, professionalism, and communication was outstanding. The job was knocked out in a couple of days. I'll definitely use this company for future projects
Area was fast to respond to my call. They had a report send to me in a few days that helped decide to buy my new home.
Area Engineering provided comprehensive, detailed structural engineering analysis of the work required. We then hired them to complete the structural repairs. These repairs were completed in a timely manner, to a very high standard and with so little mess and disruption it was unbelievable. We will, for sure, use Area again and recommend them to family and friends - they turned a stressful house purchase into a relaxed process leaving us with peace of mind - outstanding!
My experience with area engineering was superb. Greg was prompt in responding to my request and worked with me for a quick schedule. I would recommend him and work with him again.
Knowledgeable and nice!
Area Enigineering was prompt in responding to my request and completing the job. Very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Area Engineering.
The price and quality of service was good
Engineering support was provided to reinforce the existing roof structure enabling the addition of rooftop solar panels on this particular municipal building.
Very good engineer
Contractors are a large part of our customer base. Most likely because we work to provide buildable solutions, not only from an erectibility and fabrication standpoint, but, just as importantly, from a cost perspective. Many structural problems, from the basement slab to the roof of this three story end of unit rowhouse, were addressed with structural drawings provided to the contractor. Routine construction inspections were also requested and conducted to assist the contractor throughout the structural renovation and repair process.
Greg was responsive, prompt and professional. I'm looking forward to working with him again.
Often we will find that interior load-bearing walls are improperly supported at the basement level with a slab-on-grade. Settlement of the concrete slab will lead to sagging, bowing, wall cracking, door misalignment, and other concerns. Sometimes a simple solution at the ground floor will be all that is required to reinforce and 'straighten-out' these items above.
Very professional and took the time to explain his findings and answer questions.
The end of unit end wall of masonry rowhome structures will often experience lateral shifting and bowing due to seismic activity. This residence was an example of this structural condition. Tieback anchors are typically recommended to assist in holding the wall back, preventing interior floor collapse.
