  Comment: I have an older water heater in a home that I bought six years ago. It recently started with aI have a older water heater in a home that I bought six years ago. It recently started with a small leak, and now the unit which controls the heat in the temperature recently had some wires burning and I turned off the water heater. The unit is not energy efficient no more because it is too old. It takes a long time to heat up and it’s very expensive and runs up my heat bell plus like I said it does have a small leak because the paint underneath it has been rusting out for a couple months, and, the unit had a small wire fire on the very top or you control the temperature so I had to turn off the water heater and that was over four weeks ago so I have not had no hot water. I own a four bedroom home with 2 1/2 baths and only have two people that live here so I don’t think I need the large unit that is here I just need a newer pump that is making noises when it is used to circulate the water through the house that also needs to be looked at like I said it’s been four weeks and I have not had hot water. I need someone to come out and give me an estimate but I do have a home warranty service plan that I have to go through and they gave me $200 for the service call which the plumber would have to fill out and let them know what is wrong and what I need replaced at my home before I can get it done
