"Scott came in to check my diningroom light fixture which had begun blinking on and off and I was worried that it had a short in it. He checked the fixture for the suspected short and found there wasn't one. He replaced the light bulb and left without charging me anything. "Jeff is amazing, transparent, thorough, and polite. Would 100% recommend him without hesitation. We had a different HVAC company out for the same issue. Their technician was here for ~4 hours, had little experience with boilers, and walked away quoting us $800 (in addition to the $150 it costs for the diagnostic) to replace a part he was "fairly certain" was the problem. Since that visit did not fill us with confidence, we looked for other companies and found Jeff and Resolute Plumbing and Heating here on Homeadvisor. Thank goodness we did!! From the first contact with him on the phone he was open about his thoughts on what might/might not be causing the problem. Clear about pricing, and very accommodating in scheduling. On the day of the appointment he was here for about 2 hours, much of that time he spent educating me about our system, and left having solved the problem with a simple repair he did on-site, not replacing the entire part. He was friendly, straightforward and a thoroughly enjoyable person to have around that entire time. His time and expertise to SOLVE the issue cost us less than what we paid the other company just to do a somewhat uncertain diagnostic. Thank you Jeff! "THESE ARE THE FOLKS TO HIRE! When I contacted Ares Comfort Systems, Shawn came out right away. We talked about what I wanted and what my budget was. We have solar and I wanted to switch from natural gas heating to an electric heat pump with a gas furnace to back it up in case of an extreme and prolonged cold winter storm. Chris offered four different options for me from a top of the line electric heat pump and blower, to a simple natural gas replacement furnace (mine had just died after 25 years). I also got four different estimates from other venders including one from a friend who does this in retirement. Ares was by far and away the best price for all four different options. In fact my friend who also made a bid strongly suggested I go with Ares, and I did saving me about $3000 or about 25% (it is true!) under the other venders. Chris, Kirt, and their crew came out and performed the install in a single day. The install was not simple but they did a fantastic job with a clean install. The equipment was not the highest priced (the Cadillac of heat pumps) but it was a close second and will likely outlive me while saving me money and helping the environment at the same time. Ares gave me a bid and assured me if there were any surprises they would cover the extra cost. Who does that anymore?!? If ever I need heating or cooling equipment or work, I will absolutely go with Ares Comfort Systems. I will recommend them to friends and family alike. Do yourself a favor and call them for your heating or AC needs."

I felt like I was prepared for their visit and was able to consider the potential costs before they came. David Miller came out to evaluate the problem with my furnace and to do the work. I appreciated his call letting me know he was running a little late. He was personable and professional.
