But after talking to Mr Searls and hearing that my unit had been recalled 20 years ago, and that any money spent on repairing it would be wasted, I decided to get a new 3-ton heater. While we were testing my dryer, he also identified that the gas was still on in my non-functioning wall heater and turned that off. He was able to tell me what work would be involved in removing the wall heater and what I might expect to pay. Overall, he was a respectful and kind person and an asset to work with. To cap it all off, he gave me a very reasonable price for all the work (which did end up fixing my dryer).
