Reviews
Write a ReviewAnswered all my questions, addressed all my concerns. Excellent emailed quote. They replaced the Rim Joist, Deck band, reattached the deck to the house and replaced the deck boards. They worked fast. The job was completed in a day and a half. Their solution to the repairs was the best. No sub contractors, he employs his workers. His labor rate was higher than other quotes I got but I felt they were competent and trust worthy. The only negative I have is that they used the wrong size hardware to reattached the deck to the house. 3/4 bolts instead of 5/8 bolts. I was very satisfied with the end result.
Picked up the phone first call, on time for quote, on time formwork the next week. Followed special in structures to rebuild deck with modified adjustment. Quote price and kept amount agreed, even with added work. Highly recommended
What I liked best: They were on time and willing to work immediately and they work quickly. The work looked very good. The owner Bob seems to hire very nice people. Overall they did a great job. What I did not like as much: Seemed overpriced. Lower quotes were available but I went with them since I wanted it done immediately. A suggestion for Triangle Home Repair for future: please request permission from the client before rearranging delicate antique furniture and lounging on it.
They coordinate the job very fast and helped me to remove part of the tree that had fallen in my yard.
They did a great job. He was on time. And had good ideas about the job. We went with his idea. Very hard worker and very good work.
Very professional. Made sure i was happy with the worl done.
We had to have three outside window casements repaired due to carpenter ant damage. It was labor intensive and while working on an upper window which is about 45 inches wide and 6 foot long, the window cracked. Bob called me to tell me what happened and he told me not to worry that he would take care of it. He came by my house the next day, measured the window and we were lucky because he found a replacement which was installed on the same day. They worked a good 6 hours replacing the window, finishing the trim work both inside and outside, and completed the outside trim. They then finished painting. Some of the paint, which was chocolate brown, ran to the inside of the window sill, which is white, and that seems to be the only thing I will need to be corrected. They were on time, worked in the rain and were very courteous.
I hired this self -claimed contractor to do window repair for a fixed lumpsum amount of $1,000. We signed a contract. After he finished, he demanded additional $1,000 as change order that was not authorized. We refused. He signed a 1-year warranty with us. In 3 months, the work failed. We asked him to honor his warranty. He refused and asked for MORE money. Luckily, I am a professional engineer and know how to handle such semi-trained contractors. I am worried about innocent home owners who could fall into their traps. Be very CAREFUL before hiring such unreliable handymen. They sometimes bid low to get a work and then charge more at the end and work is still not professional.
Mr. [Consumer name withheld at their request] hired me to do a repair on an upstairs window that had been leaking. When I did the estimate it was not possible to see the full scope of the damage due to the fact that there was a bench build in front of the window and as it later turned out he did not disclose to me that water had been leaking onto the ceiling on the first floor.. As I made my estimate I discussed with him that it was impossible to see everything that needed to be done until the wall was opened an I could see what was behind it. As it turned out that the damage was much larger than first anticipated as all his floor and wall boards where completely rotten out from years of neglect. I called Mr [Consumer name withheld at their request] at his work to come and see it for himself. and I discussed with him that we needed more time to remedy the damage and that my fee is $55 per man per hour to do this. after spending 2 long days at his house with 2 people (and we where there the second day until 8 o'clock in the evening to get everything finished up) and it was time to settle up (and this was 3 weeks after the work was completed due to the avoidance of Mr. [Consumer name withheld at their request]) he refused to pay me for my extra work and gave me a check for $1350 when the total invoice was $2050. I don't know what his justification is but to me he is plain dishonest I was upfront with him that I was unable to give a complete accessment unit the wall was opened and I clearly discussed with him the extra cost involved for doing the extra work and I even absorbed some of the cost by not billing him for every hour that we worked. We did in my opinion a very nice job on repairing the damage to the point that it was not even visible where we had done the repairs.I think he knew it would not be worth the effort for me to take him to court over $700 but it is stealing from me and my family non the less. After everything was done and said he had the guts to ask me if I wanted to other work for him that I had already estimated which I politely declined. When He last week called me and asked me to come back to his house to look at a leak he says I am responsible for I said to him I would be happy to do it if he first paId me the money that he owes me.
work was prompt, and done well, also they cleaned up afterward very well, but the project was overly expensive.
Professional. Provided detailed estimate and completed all in a quick and efficient manner.
