Reviews
Write a ReviewTriangle Home Repair and paint was readily available to do our work since we were also flexible. The job was done well and as we had discussed.
Of all the other folks that gave us an estimate they were the only one that looked under the deck to see what we needed. However, the crew he sent did a half a- - job plus left the trash. We had to call them back. After the 2nd trip the end job was acceptable.
Great service!
Bob was quick to respond, friendly, accommodating and fair enough that I hired him without getting a second and third quote. I am pleased overall with the service they provided and wouldn’t hesitate to contact them again in the future.
Work was done promptly with no surprises.
Good workmanship and clean
We hired this company based upon HomeAdvisor ratings, but were completely dissatisfied with the work they completed on our house. There was so much wrong that I would not be able to list everything here. One of the projects was to replace the railings on our front porch. They rebuilt the porch in one day and started painting before we had time to inspect. They did not do any type of finishing and the boards they chose were rough cut timber with holes and chunks missing. Because they painted before sanding, many of the boards on the railings are still pretty rough. Their go to fix for the holes and missing chunks was to bondo everything. This was preferable to them instead of choosing better quality wood or finishing it correctly. Also, the quality of the carpentry was horrendous with nails pounded over and bent on several of the pickets. They came out four separate times to try and fix the porch and other areas on the house that was not painted correctly. The owner Bob finally came out and had them redo an entire section of the porch. While this section looks better, there was bleed through from the paint, so they ended up leaving us a can of spray primer because they did not want to come back out, and said we could spray any bleed through that would happen. Overall, I would not recommend this company at all. They were not professional, they spent just over three weeks at our house for a simple porch and trim painting job because they had to keep coming out to repair their substandard work. While Bob knows his trade well, the people that actually completed the work did not seem to care to provide quality work from the carpentry to the painting, While Bob has attempted to make it right, there are still areas on the porch where there are chunks of paint and nails that were not pounded in correctly but painted over anyways. At this point I do not want them coming back to our house because we are just done with them. We know that in a couple of years we will have to have our front porch replaced again; and this time we will be sure to hire professionals. Seriously, save your hard-earned money and hire a professional, reputable company that is not needing to repair their poor work over and over.
With all due respect we had given an estimate to paint the trim on the house and when the lady of the house who was not part of any of the planning discussions wanted to change the color of the siding I said I was happy to do it but that I would have to be reasonably compensated for doing the extra work. Apparently that answer did not suite them and in the words of my own workers the customers from then on were trying yo spite me in every way they could while we did everything we could to meet their never ending demands. we were even blamed for not being able to remove paint on their brickwork that had been there for many years prior. I gave the customers extended payment periods because they did not have the funds to pay for it and I eventually got paid way past the agreed time. Sad to see that the reward for my efforts to make them a happy customer resulted in such negative feedback.
They were prompt, professional and did the job as promised. While a little expensive, I recommend them.
This crew did a wonderful job on our home. I would recommend them highly!
This is a hard review to write because Bob and his crew are certainly very capable, however, the carpenters Bob sent out did not do any kind of quality control on the materials they selected to construct our porch. They constructed the porch in one day. When we came home from work to inspect their progress, we found several errors in the construction. There were several gaps, broken and poorly chose pickets, a hand rail that had a large gouge taken out of it, and split boards. We're the last people to try and tell anyone how to do their job, but like any consumer do our research and look for good craftsmanship. This is our home and want what we have done to last. For the first round of fixes, my husband and I took pictures and I sent them to Bob. His response was that he would send the team out again to address the issues. When we got home to inspect the work, the issues were only half resolved and a replaced board was still split. So I end up requesting that Bob come out to meet with me so I could show him in person the issues. When he came his first response was that the work was done, however when I shared with him that we were dissatisfied and pointed out further issues he sympathized and was willing to get the problems fixed. He did mark all the errors and sent out a higher level carpenter would did a good job fixing everything. Bob did not try to charge use more for the fixes, however if he did, we were not going to pay based on the initial quality of work and the amount of issues. If you are going to hire Triangle Home Repair, get your quote and express upfront that you would like quality work done not something where only half the effort is put in or expect to have a back and forth of fixes.
