Write a ReviewProfane language. Claimed they knew nothing about the workroom and I felt I had to validate the information about the workroom and chairs. Their was a lot of general complaining. They worked fast. They refused to bring up workbench drawers. When they dropped off the load at destination they stacked the boxes and everything very neatly and gave us access to most items. The final blow? With the high end bid $2;083 we were presented with a bill for $2,623. Extremely disappointed. We tipped then $500.00 in spite of some lack of professional behavior and the work did get done.
Hello Mary, I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. Prior to speaking with the movers and just reading your review, it sounds like your job took a little longer and some of the movers had bad language. Aside from that, the move went so well and they worked so hard you tipped them $500. Wow. That is very generous of you. Now, after speaking to the movers and reviewing your paperwork I see that you had an excellent crew of very polite, soft-spoken, hard-working movers that I am shocked to hear this type of feedback on. However, if this is the case and they were using profane language I sincerely apologize! I see from your estimate that you were quoted to move 8 pieces of furniture in the basement (where this workroom is you are referencing). Yet, our movers say there was a significant amount more plus you had signed a statement to the effect of the understanding you had more to be moved, specifically in the basement, and you understood this would add time and cost to your job. We had even sent an extra mover. It took 6 movers 8 hours to complete your job. They informed me that you have an electric chair on all of your staircases going up and down. This made it extremely difficult to maneuver around it carrying furniture up and down your stairways. They said they could barely fit. Given this extreme obstacle and additional items, it's amazing they got your job done in the time they did. I'm assuming this is why you tipped them so well. Keep in mind when moving that estimates are non-binding. This means that despite the estimated range, you will be charged for the actual time it takes to complete your move. Some people may state they have 20 items to be moved, for example. When we arrive, they have 100, but some expect the charge to remain the same. It does not. Estimates are also non-binding due to unforeseen obstacles or situations that may not be known until that moment and out of our control or yours. Examples: traffic, an accident, construction, a muddy flooded yard, a longer walk than we expected 20ft vs 100ft, and in this case your electric chair. You were also given an excellent discounted rate. You received a discount of $30/hr. This saved you almost $300. Lastly, it seems like this was a job well done. I'm sorry that you do not see it that way. Your review seems slightly contradictory. There are a few blemishes mixed with some very good points.

The movers were on time.The lead found out what was to be moved and they got right to work. We were very impressed by how quickly they moved. They respected the property by asking before they did things. They were accommodating to all our requests. They were friendly and respectful. The only flaw was they damaged a couple of plants but we should have moved them before they came. Overall we would recommend them to anyone looking to hire a moving company.

They must have been trying to be courteous, but this is why, in our "helpful tips & contract" it states that they should be moved by the customer. My apologies for that. I'm happy to hear that everything else went smoothly, though! We appreciate you.
Very friendly and worked very quickly to get the job done. Moved all my pieces and nothing was damaged including my antiques. They even finished at the minimum time given. I would have given them 5 stars except after they left I realized that they put all of the totes in the rooms that was on noted on the top tote when there were other totes underneath for other rooms. I had to move 7 totes into other rooms. Tracey, in the office, was always so nice, helpful and cheerful. I was dreading the move but they actually made the experience bearable. The moving team did everything we asked for, very polite and respectful! The were quick and efficient and would definitely hire them again! I moved into my new home on the day of a winter storm warning and the movers still finished the total job in 2 and half hours. I will only use Oâ  Sullivan Moving company for any of my moves. Highly recommended!!
