Workmanship is fine. The owner and salesman do not do what they say.. make sure you have EVERYHING in writing, but they still will try to change things on you and you will have to force them to do what the contract says, as in material and wall height and number of steps, etc

Any changes suggested were in an attempt to improve the project. We did not try to "change things", rather, once the site was cleared of landscaping and the layout was made, we used our expertise to suggest ways to improve the final design including increasing a step to make the walk to the upper level more comfortable and then we wanted to increase the thickness of a retaining wall to improve the soil retention capabilities. The owner managed the project and was only attempting to provide better product without any additional change in dimensions or the contract sum.

New installation of Patio and pavers. I called JK contracting along with 2 other contractors to bid my patio project. I was looking for design ideas and suggestions and a team that I could work with for the long term as I have many other projects that I am putting on a 4 or 5 year plan. Chris was the salesman for the business. He was prompt, courteous, responsive to my questions and requests and seemed to understand what I was looking for. He was excellent at helping me form a vision for my entire backyard with this patio project being the first phase. I shared my budget with him and he went to work drawing phase 1. I went through the same process with the other contractors as well and also received great service however the prices were higher with the other 2 bids. I called Chris and asked for a few references which he had in my email the next day. I called 3 of the 5 references and they were very happy with their projects as well. They all said that they would hire JK Contracting again. That was what I was looking for and I hired them. I am thrilled to report that they started on my project only one week later and finished the project in 10 days which was well within their contract terms of 3 to 4 weeks. One of the best things about this company is that they have a 5 year workmanship warranty!!! Jose is the owner of the company and he was on site almost every day to check that we were happy and things were going well. Chris promised and Jose delivered beautiful workmanship. We enjoyed all the JK employees and they were always ready to show me their work and see how I felt about how it was going. This was a great team. I plan on hiring JK Contractors again just as soon as I can save up enough to move forward with phase 2!
