Write a ReviewAs always, Shane's work is beyond what I expected. My small patio off my backdoor is now a little bigger than my brick one and much safer. After the concrete was poured, but before it hardened, he put some aggregate glow stones on top of the concrete. The small stones look white during the day, but at night they glow a beautiful sky blue. It is like looking at a star-filled night sky. Shane doesn't do a job quickly just to get it done, but takes his time to be sure that it is completed with the best possible result; a project that not only looks beautiful, but will endure for many years.
Shane Moseley kept us informed as to when materials arrived, when he would be here and what he was doing. He and his crew were punctual, courteous and professional. They cleaned up at the end of each workday. His cost estimate was a $1,000.00 less than Dillman Brothers. We are very happy with his work and would hire him again.
The main inconvenience was having to stay at a hotel 3 nights. Â That's what happens when you have only one bathroom. Â The contractor ( Shane) kept the plumbers and electricians scheduled along with his team so that there was always work going on - no idle time. Â The carpenters cleaned up every day and worked late a couple of nights to make sure the work could start early the next day. Â Â Everyone was friendly and hardworking.
I was pleasantly surprised by Shane's total professionalism and dedication to providing the best service for his customers. He gave me a great recommendation for the type of tile to get for my bathroom floor and installed it perfectly. He also did a great job on replacing some rotting flooring in my shed. He was always on time for each job too. Shane performs quality work at a reasonable price. It is wonderful to find someone who takes pride in their work and is instilled with uncommonly high work ethics. I will be using his services again for other jobs and will highly recommend him to friends who may benefit from his workmanship.

Friendly, and cordially met all our requests. Price was very reasonable.

Thank you member!! I just wanted to note that I do recommend the best plumber and electrician if needed for any of my updates. Unlike other contractors who hire them as subcontractors and then add to their bills before giving you one big bill. Some contractors in town are even attempting the plumbing and electrical without being licensed to do so. I coordinate the project with them but I don't charge more on top of their fees. You write them a separate check for their part and the total project cost is usually a lot less than the other guys. That way you can spend a little more on nicer tile, fixtures, marble etc. HAPPY UPDATING!
This review will confirm what all the other (good--and there are only good) reviews are saying here: Shane is an excellent carpenter who treats customers right. I contacted him in late September, and he got right back to me. He came over the next day and told me what materials I needed to buy and where. When I had questions, I'd email him, and he'd get right back to me--even at 11 PM. He told me he did his larger jobs early in the month and his smaller jobs later in the month, and I told him I was okay with that as long as he got the handrail up before the snow started to fly. He assured me he would, and he did. He scheduled me for October 28, showed up, and put my handrail in before noon. It's sturdy and looks great. I get compliments on it. He is the best, and I will definitely use him again.
Shane and his assistant started the remodeling at 8:30 on October 1. They were always prompt , courteous and cleaned up all the debris during the day and double checked before leaving for the day. They did their utmost to minimize inconveniencing me and still get the remodeling done without any long delays. They were able to finish the job in 2 weeks even with having to wait a week for the countertops to be delivered. I am extremely satisfied with their work and would not hesitate to recommend Custom Home Updates to anyone.
Outstanding work on both accounts. Â Shane is very professional and very talented. Â For both projects we were pretty loose as far as design, we don't really have an eye for it, but Shane definitely does and was willing to talk through a few suggestions until we finalized a plan. Shane's only problem is that he's so good that he's also busy as a result. Â Plan on waiting several months for your work, but trust me, it's worth it for a job done right.
