WE WILL KNOW MORE WHEN IT RAINS. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HONEST ABOUT WHAT NEEDED DONE AND THE PRICE. HE CAME AND LOOKED AT THE ROOF AND WAS ABLE TO DO IT WHILE THEY WERE HERE. WE WERE VERY PLEASED AND FEEL SURE IT WILL NOT LEAK. WILL CALL HIM AGAIN IF WE NEED SOMETHING DONE. THANKS FOR RECOMMENDING THEM AND ALSO THANKS TO A1 CONSTRUCTION.

We hired A1 Construction for a roofing job (leaks around 5 skylights & chimney). They recommended installation of galvanized steel flashing around skylights, correct exposed nails around the chimney, replace one vent pipe boot and correct two shingle "bumps". They were one site for ~one hour and charged $1500.00; I paid via check and they cashed same day. I went on the roof the next day and discovered that they applied only "window/door flashing tape" (no galvanized steel flashing) at base of chimney and upper side of skylights. Clear silicone caulk was applied in some places. None of the other specified items were corrected. I was told that their 5 year warranty and receipt would be E-mailed to me; was never received. The leaks became even worse after this work. Via text message to company I offered to forgo a negative review upon return of $1200 within 10 days; I received no return. All work occurred in areas not visible from grade - i.e. climbing roof was required. Possibly this vendor assumed that at my age (71) I would not be inspecting the work - he was mistaken. If you choose to use this vendor, get written details of work to be performed), get written warranty in advance, and don't pay until work is inspected. Good luck.

Hi Robert, we are very sorry you feel this way. We Like to make our Homeowners happy with our work that is the reason we recommended that we replace the flashing around the chimney with new which we did and as far as the skylights go we recommended you replace all the skylights because the seals around the windows were shot you told us upon the day of the estimate that you were going to supply the materials to reflash. Because you had a family member that works at Lowe's who told you the flashing was bad instead of an option from a roofer.....we have never used (window/ door tape) to flash anything with. The material used was white coil stoc.
