I initially called Dr. HVAC when we started noticing some noise from our basement furnace. Steve (the owner) was able to come for an estimate the same day, and we had a new furnace within the week. During the estimate he looked at both upper and lower units and gave us his opinion on what the most pressing issues were, as well as future work we should plan to have done. He also helped troubleshoot a problem we had with a "cold" bedroom, saving us countless time and money for work that ultimately wasn't necessary. We ended up deciding to replace our basement furnace and hold off on the upstairs furnace since it still has some years left on it. On the day of the repair, Steve called ahead with an ETA and arrived on time. He walked my husband through the issues he saw with our old furnace, which was great because my husband wasn't home for the estimate. The removal and install was smooth. Steve stayed for awhile after the install was complete to ensure the unit was functioning properly. He noticed afterwards that our humidifier wasn't installed quite properly (previous owners must have had work done on it) and took extra time to check to see if it was functioning. There was also a plumbing issue with the pipe leading to the furnace drain that was related to work that had been done while the previous owners owned the house. Steve took a couple extra hours to obtain the supplies needed to fix the problem even though the heater was already installed. He went way above what we expected and saved us the cost of having to call a plumber. Dr. HVAC absolutely went above and beyond any expectations we had to not only provide exceptional service and product but also to give us peace of mind knowing that the work was done properly. You can tell he genuinely cares about the quality of work that he does. I have Dr. HVAC's number saved in my phone and look forward to working with them in the future for our seasonal AC/furnace checks."

"It's a top notch service. He showed up on time and quickly nailed the root cause of the furnace heating problem, it turned out it's the gas valve not opening up. So we went to a supply chain store in Wheeling together and unfortunately the part is out of stock, we had to drive a long way to another store in Elgin(~35 miles away) and picked up the gas valve there. "Last Saturday night heater in my house stopped working. The prospective of staying without heat over weekend and maybe more was horrifying. I called Comfort Arrows and surprisingly their dispatcher picks up the phone. She said she will send someone over. In lees then 40 minutes technician was in my house. Oleg was very knowledgeable and quickly find the defective unit. Despite all the supply stores being closed on weekends he was able to get proper part from their inventory. "Able to squeeze me in, prompt, responsive, followed up the next day. Had issue w thermostat not kicking furnace on so I thought. Noticed furnace kick on/off randomly the last 2years. Woke up w/house temp lower than what thermostat was set for occasionally. Basement very cold, upstairs colder than you would think too. He discovered furnace was overheating and shutting on/off due to multiple closed off vents that he discovered. Very quick to diagnose/resolve.
