I felt like I was prepared for their visit and was able to consider the potential costs before they came. David Miller came out to evaluate the problem with my furnace and to do the work. I appreciated his call letting me know he was running a little late. He was personable and professional. He was very knowledgeable and gave me lots of great information about other potential projects that I would like to do. I did not feel any pressure to do unnecessary work and he gave me a balanced perspective of options for replacing my water heater with new tank or tankless. "Jeff is amazing, transparent, thorough, and polite. Would 100% recommend him without hesitation. We had a different HVAC company out for the same issue. Their technician was here for ~4 hours, had little experience with boilers, and walked away quoting us $800 (in addition to the $150 it costs for the diagnostic) to replace a part he was "fairly certain" was the problem. Since that visit did not fill us with confidence, we looked for other companies and found Jeff and Resolute Plumbing and Heating here on Homeadvisor. Thank goodness we did!! From the first contact with him on the phone he was open about his thoughts on what might/might not be causing the problem. Clear about pricing, and very accommodating in scheduling. On the day of the appointment he was here for about 2 hours, much of that time he spent educating me about our system, and left having solved the problem with a simple repair he did on-site, not replacing the entire part. He was friendly, straightforward and a thoroughly enjoyable person to have around that entire time.
