"Our 30YO furnace took its last breath on a Sunday during 30F temps. We spent a couple cold days trying to find a company available to help us out. Luckily we also have a heat pump that heats part of the house, so it wasn’t an emergency. No one had availability. In our search we submitted a project request on Angi (formerly Angie’s List), and Product Air called us on Tuesday morning to say they could be there in an hour to give a bid. They came and gave us a reasonable bid. Given the urgency, they could have gouged us but they did not. The next morning they were there at 9 AM to install a new gas furnace. When they finished I asked them if they also did maintenance on heat pump systems. They said yes, and they did the maintenance right there on the spot. On top of doing a great installation and bringing our heat pump system current on maintenance (without prior scheduling!), they cleaned the garage up after their work to a state well beyond our expectations. They were also very polite and pleasant to work with. We will definitely call them again for maintenance and any HVAC needs we have in the future!"

"Blue Flame Heating & Air Conditioning I spent 2 weeks researching HVAC companies in my area.Two of the HVAC companies I interviewed tried to steer me toward solutions and equipment I wasn't asking for. Both of those companies also didn't even bother to do a Manuel J residential load evaluation to determine what size of HVAC system I would need. Kyler - the Blue Flame advisor/estimator walked me through my options and the pros and cons of the different HVAC systems. He also showed me the yearly cost difference (graph) of AC/Gas versus a heat pump. I didn't feel he tried to sell me a particular brand or use a lot of HVAC jargon to overwhelm me. They were able to schedule me for an install for 2 weeks later (although I was able to move it up a week because of a cancelation). I ended up replacing and upgrading my 20 year old gas furnace from 80% to 96% efficiency, 2 stage (Rheem), added a Trane 17 seer A/C unit, and a Mitsubishi ductless heat pump, and replaced my flex ducting with rigid ducting, and I also replaced my thermostat with a new 3rd generation smart Nest thermostat (highly recommend).They had everything up and running in 3 days (plus one day to insulate the ducts, do a pressure test and adjust the dampers). Day 1 Luke and Mannie installed the furnace, day 2 they installed the A/C, ductless heat pump, and removed the flex ducting. Day 3 they custom fabricated and installed the rigid ducts in my crawl space, charged the A/C, checked for leaks, and did a final inspection on the entire system. The primary installers, Luke and Mannie were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and hard working. The amount of work, and skill to fabricate a custom HAVC install is hard to describe. At one point there was 3 trucks in front of my house (a different group of Blue Flame installers had finished early on another project and came over and pitched in) with 6-7 people all working as a team. Everything is working perfectly, there was a high level of professionalism and skill that went into every aspect of this project. The overall cost was competitive and fair - you get what you pay for. I highly recommend them - it was a great experience. Getting the right contractor is the most important part of HVAC solution, more important than the equipment it self."

Before that he also tried helping me with a quick fix over video call (free of charge), but because there were major problems with Furnace we ended up replacing the entire unit Serge arranged the new unit on the same day and worked through the evening with his crew to get it going. This was the night before winter storm kicked in - so saved us some chilly nights. He provided me a very competitive price. Also provided me 3 years of Labor warranty. "Okay. I don't think there's enough characters to accurately describe what a phenomenal experience it was working with this company. They were the 3rd of 3 contractors we had out to give us an estimate to install a heat pump. They we're much more knowledgeable and less "car salesman-like." Not pushy at all. They vetoed the ideas other company had of putting the outside unit under the deck "so it isn't noticeable." That, they said, would blow hot air up onto our deck on hot days. Hmmm... that doesn't sound ideal, and showed they were thoughtful. The space where the air handler needed to be installed was small. This is where they REALLY earn their name, "Innovative." Other companies recommended multiple big, ugly ventless units that wouldn't cool the entire house. But these guys said, you have vents! We can make this work! And, they did! We were given 3 options and as it's such a big decision, we agonized over which was the best, but they very patiently answered question after question from email after follow-up email, until we were confident with our choice. They offered to donate our slightly used furnace to someone in need. We really appreciated that. It made us feel better about our decision to replace it. When the heat pump was installed, they checked in to assure everything was working well. When i thought there was a problem, they quickly came out to look at the "problem," even though my unit is one that took time to "learn." And when the hot weather turned warm, they checked in AGAIN. Like, honestly, every company could take lessons from this one. I've NEVER experienced customer service quite like this. It's exceptional. Truly outstanding! We have been so, so, so comfortable in our home and never once regretted our decision to buy the heat pump. And guess what? Even running it 24/7 through the hot summer and cool fall, our electric bill has dropped in comparison to the sane time last year. IT'S paying for ITSELF!! CALL NOW!!!"

Their technician was here for ~4 hours, had little experience with boilers, and walked away quoting us $800 (in addition to the $150 it costs for the diagnostic) to replace a part he was "fairly certain" was the problem. Since that visit did not fill us with confidence, we looked for other companies and found Jeff and Resolute Plumbing and Heating here on Homeadvisor. Thank goodness we did!! I appreciated his call letting me know he was running a little late. He was personable and professional. He was very knowledgeable and gave me lots of great information about other potential projects that I would like to do.
