John and Kaden showed up on schedule if not slightly before they said they would and prepared the work place with drop cloths to protect our floors from the front door to the bathroom. They communicated everything and asked questions to determine our highest needs. They met the challenges that inevitably come up with precision and worked with my husband to trouble shoot and address them with speed. Their plumber showed up with in half an hour and fixed the problem.Once they had completed the work each of the two days they cleaned up and you could not tell they had even been here except for the beautiful and functional shower that now sits in place of our old tub that was there. "Contracted Heath for a major basement remodel in a multi-generational home which was completed in 6 months despite COVID-19 restrictions and shipping delays of material and fixtures. Heath was able to follow my floor plan to renovate an awkwardly finished basement with structural limitations and turn it into a quasi apartment that met building codes. The renovation includes cork flooring throughout, an ADA compliant 1 bedroom en suite with heated tiled flooring, curbless tiled shower and toilet/bidet both with grab bars; a tiled 1/2 bath - laundry with toilet/bidet; open living room/dining room/kitchen multi-use space with a Heath designed table top that folds away into an IKEA cabinet; an office with a storage loft; and a gym with an attached deck. All construction was completed without COVID-19 contraction, cost overages and overly prolonged delays. Heath has a lot of construction experience and savvy; he is meticulous to detail, and used these qualities to improve my design goals to create a living space that would accommodate our physical needs as we age. In my professional life, I have had to hire general contractors for major construction projects. Heath has been the most honest, detailed general contractor I have ever hired. He used workers and subs that performed at his high standard and he personally made sure their job was done right and timely. He maintained communication with me throughout the project and all revision decisions were made mutually while staying within budget. Should there be a need to hire a general contractor again, we will hire Heath but we expect that he will be in high demand and we may have to get in line."
