Professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Work was done quickly and they cleaned up afterwards. We had a tub removed and surround shower installed.

This was by far the best home project I have done in years. Your team was excellent at communicating and walking me through the process. Ulises and Jordan we're extremely professional and treated my home with the utmost respect. They engaged me multiple times to ensure everything about the shower was set up just the way I wanted it. It would be a pleasure to have them back for any project I need done in the future. I literally had zero complaints or issues with any part of the process and I'm thrilled with my new shower!

Install or Replace a Shower

So far it has been great. One of two baths has been installed. Very happy with the first floor walk in shower. Will have to wait and see about the upstairs full bathtub/shower combination installation. Five Stars for both Teams that worked on the downstairs walk in shower. I don't remember the names of the two guys who performed the demolition, but they were great, very professional. Same for the installation team, Felix and Jordan. Thank you for a job well done.

Remodel a Bathroom

Review change, I gave a five-star at first but I have to be honest there was issues right away. They came with the wrong floor pan and shelves, I am the one that noticed and luckily it was before they installed it. I agreed with keeping the floor pan but insisted on the shelves I wanted. I'm still waiting for three of them and it has been 4 weeks. Also the reason I went to jacuzzi bath fitters was because my existing shower was leaking and with these new doors I'm still having the same issue. When I email they do respond and they keep saying they will get in contact with the service people but it's been 4 weeks and my issues have not been resolved. The installers were wonderful, no complaints with them. But I don't believe they installed the doors correctly. Water just pours out the bottom. I am happy with the look of my shower and I'm sure we can resolve the issues.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
