Write a ReviewThe technician (Kevin?) arrived on time with his tools and a smile. He inspected our furnace, cleaned the unit, administered tests to insure the viability of the motors, checked the heat exchanger, changed the filter, reported possible future problems since our unit is 20 years old and answered all my questions and concerns in a professional and friendly manner. I would heartily recommend Just Right air for HVAC repair and service.
They had a one year money back guarantee. Â They were very thorough about all their options. Â They only sold premium brands. Â They didn't pressure us at all, they gave us all the options and took plenty of time walking through our house understanding everything. Â The only thing they missed, they missed how our house was vented and so they said they would have to come back and fix that if you wanted that fixed. Â During the big they said it would clear itself out but it didn't.
This company was FANTASTIC, they called me the day I purchased the voucher and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. They gave me a three hour service window, which is very common so I was not upset by that at all. They did tell me that they would call when the technician was about 20-30 mins out. They did just that. The technician, Mike F., was really nice and very personable, he did the work very quickly and cleaned up everything before he left, actually I think that my floor was little cleaner when he left. When he was leaving, he noticed that our front door was a little loose and did not close correctly so he pulled out his tools and fixed our door, which he was not there for at all but my door has not closed this easily in two years. He told us that one of our bearings may be going back and even left us with a quote for the part if we do end up having to fix it. This company I would definately use again and again
Service Tech. Michael came out as arranged diagnosed my problem quickly took out the problem switch and showed me the earwig that crawed in and shorted it out. Told me he had a sealed switch in his truck that would fix the A/C and would keep bugs out. He showed me his pricing catalog and we agreed that replacing the switch would be all that I needed. I thought the price was a little high but because they were through Angie's List and were Gephardt Approved I assumed that I could trust their pricing. He explained that there was a service call fee included in that price (about $70+) so over $200 for the switch and labor. The switch was installed in less than 15 minutes and he left. After he left I found the exact same switch online for $38 to $ 50 including shipping. I contacted Just right 3 times trying to get an explanation of why it cost over $200 to replace a $50 switch but they refused to send me an itemized bill and would not explain. I contacted Gephart and they are getting the same runaround. All I want is for Just Right Heating and Air to validate their charges.Â
Tom Talboys came over to give me a quote for a new furnace (the existing one was from 1978 and home inspector noticed a cracked heat exchanger so we needed a new one). He did a heat load calculation to find the right furnace size, and showed me consumer reports for the furnace brand he quoted for. Out of 3 quotes all from companies with good ratings on Angie's list, they had the low bid. I don't know the guy's name who installed the furnace, but he was a nice guy and didn't mind me watch him install the furnace. It was helpful for me to see how he did it, since I get to learn where the major components are and how they fit together. I did notice the exhaust flue didn't have a slight vertical rise as I had learned was needed from previous home inspections but he fixed it when I brought it up and was respectful about it. He also lit the water heater pilot light for me at no extra charge.
They were great. Honest with their pricing, courteous and punctual with their service. Went through all the options with me and didn't try to up-sell me. Their actual work was fantastic. They were very detail-oriented and left my place clean and organized. And of course, my heating and AC is ten times better than it was before. Very impressed and would recommend them to anyone.
Dan Deardon (Just Right owner and technical expert) evaluated our system and confirmed their salesman's concern about the common plenum design for our two furnaces, which would make our system inefficient and limit our choices of a replacement furnace. His thorough testing and explanation of the problem convinced me this was no snow job and it would be beneficial to us to fix. He gave us a great deal on the repair. Then he tested my A/C system and found that my two differently sized A/C compressors were operating the wrong zones of my home, which was another thing my last heating and A/C contractor got wrong ten years ago. He quoted a fix for this problem also. This expertise, along with a very competitive bid for the new furnace, convinced me to go with Just Right over two other bidders. The work took 2 days, and I was impressed with the installation guys. They did a clean installation and fixed the problems Dan had found. Living with the new installation now for 3 weeks during some hot weather, we now have a much more comfortable home. The A/C really cools all levels of my home, and doesn't seem to cycle on and off on the top (hotter) floor, like it used to do. After 3 weeks, we had just one complaint:Â a resonating return air duct, that, with the more efficient return air system was "singing" to us (vibrating) when that A/C system was drawing air. I called, and within a day, we got a call from owner Dan Deardon. He came out to the house again, and fixed the problem himself, with no charge. Wow. Everything I have seen about this company makes me feel that they are the best company around, doing the job correctly and at a competitive price.
Arrived on time. Identified the problem within 5 minutes. Mike was very professional and expained things clearly. HAd the issue fixed the same day.
very well
Jess arrived on time. Spent time to listen to the history of the problem. Then began the diagnostic process. He finally determined the problem to be with a filter that was plugged. Tested the input and output on the filter and determined it was plugged. Once he removed the plugged filter, with a new filter, demonstrated how it should be working..........which it wasn't. Jess was very conscientious and took the time to explain and demonstrate the problem. The air conditioning appears to be working great! I was very impressed with the service. They called ahead of time to let me know when the technician would be here and he arrived as planned. I will certainly recommend this company in the future! Well done!
