Reviews
Write a ReviewWe called Dayco Systems at lunch on10/3/11. They responded in a short amount of time and said they would take care of us before the end of the day. They did, indeed, arrive at our house about 3:30 and within a short amount of time, had our furnace repaired. Their price was unbelievably reasonable and we were so pleased with their overall service. Would recommend them over and over.
Great response. Called at 8am, was at my house at 11am and service was completed by 11:45 am.  I have an older A/C unit that is on its last legs, Dean gave me all my options with an older system along with the risks and prices for each. He answered all my questions honestly and direct. He did not try and sell me on any specific option, and was very professional. I will be calling him again when its time.
Our upstairs HVAC unit gave out after eighteen years of service. Dean with Dayco was one of four contractors who provided came out and proposed on the work. He was very professional during the visit and happy to discuss all of the options at hand. We decided to go with a complete new system and Dayco provided a couple of options along with a recommendation. We ended up with quotes from four different HVAC contractors. While Dayco's proposal was not the lowest, in an apples to apples comparison of them, it was by far the best value. Dean even answered a number of technical questions and clarifications regarding his proposal as we compared the quotes. The work went great. The crew was punctual, professional, and completely cleaned-up after themselves. Dean checked in to ensure everything was moving along during the installation. He also followed up after the work was complete to see if there were any outstanding issues. We had two minor punch list items which were corrected the next day. Great Contractor!!!
Dean is one of the nicest guy's I've ever met. He is energetic and goes far beyond the purpose of his visit. We had a scheduling problem due to his heavy workload He missed two appts. Our appt today was for 10 AM, but I didn't hear from him until 1 PM. He profusely appologized and asked if he could come right over. I could not be mad with him because he is so personable. He came quickly and inspected not only my AC but checked my furnace as well. He installed a new filter in the furnace in attic over garage. Since he had missed a couple of appts, he gave me a free year's inspection (furnace in Fall and AC in Spring). He also checked my bedrm vent located in the attic because I thought it might be stuffed up with insulatin, but it was ok. I am going to stick with hDean and Dayco for all furnace and AC inspections and/or work to be done. He is a great guy and does good work.
I am extremely pleased with the service that I received from Dayco Systems. Dean has a lot of experience and knowledge. The existing duct work in my basement was originally installed in a very unorganized and complicated fashion. Dean was able to map out a plan to not only reroute the existing duct work but fit the new duct work for my new heat pump. Now everything is very organized. The technicians were very polite and professional. They cleaned up everything when the job was complete and it was so clean that it looked like they had never been there. I was very pleased with the installation, the professionalism, and the efficiency of Dean and his staff. I would definitely recommend this company if you need any HVAC work.
Phillip and Nick arrived right on schedule. They introduced themselves and Phillip explained what they were going to be doing. They were very friendly with my children who were curious to know what they were doing. I was very surprised how quickly they were finished. They explained what they did and asked me if I had any questions. Dean wasn't able to come to the house while they were here, but came a few hours later and again asked if I had any questions. I was very pleased with their work and interactions with me and my children. They were very neat. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.
I telephoned Dayco to get an estimate on replacing my air conditioning units but also because my downstairs unit was not working on a very hot Friday evening. Dean sent a technician out promptly on Saturday morning. The techician was able to get the downstairs unit working again while I went through the process of obtaining estimates for replacements. Once I chose Dayco, Dean and his technicians installed two Trane air conditioning (upstairs and downstairs) units, replacing two existing units. Dean was helpful and readily available by telephone throughout the entire process. The crew was prompt and courteous. They also worked around my schedule. The estimate and final price were the same; the price was the lowest out of the three estimates that I received. I relied heavily on the reviews in Angie's list in selecting the company to do the work and am very pleased that I chose to use Dayco. I will be switching my maintenance plan from a company that I have used for several years to Dayco.
I came home to find my house at 85 degrees. My AC had stopped working. I checked Angies list and found Dayco Systems we all A's and close to my house. They were fully bonded, insured and licensed. I called them at 10:30 in the morning and told them my problem. He told me they would be at my house before noon. Dean (company owner) showed up at 11:45. He talked to me about what is going wrong and then checked out the AC. When he opened up the back he said - "yep, thought so - capacitor is bad". He replaced the capacitor while I told him that I was concerned that the unit was old and really did not cool the upstairs as well as I thought it should. After finishing the capacitor replacement he checked the freon level and found it to be "about 30% down."  He refilled the freon and the system is working perfectly. The only time we discussed replacing the system was when I brought it up. There was absolutely no pressure to do so. I discussed what type of system and different options and estimated pricing on full system replacement. I plan to budget for this and most likely replace my system this fall. There is no doubt that I will call Dean and Dayco back to do the work. Could not be happier.Â

Left a message in the morning and they called a couple of hours later and said they could come out that night. They gave me a time of 4:00-6:00 and showed up around 5:00. Then he added 3 pounds of freon and let me know what to look for when it's time to replace the unit. (That will be my next call, but hopefully not for a while) Cost was about $140 for the visit and $30/lb for freon. Overall, they were very responsive, professional and friendly. I would recommend them to friends. (And Angie's Listers!)
