Please Note, Due to changes in the economy, we don’t offer install only. Our experience has been; these systems are very low quality and so is the price consumers pay for equipment. Most consumers are expecting to pay below $250.00. This is an unrealistic price. Most quality installs for your purchased water softener on a prepared home from other sellers are going to start at $450.00. Giving our absolute best with honesty and commitment to jobs from the very beginning has always been our policy. We look forward to hearing from you.

How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because I was a technician working for major companies in San Antonio. I quickly excelled and became an installer. I realized the hardest obstacle companies were facing was finding an licensed professional for their installations. I knew then, I could provide customers with a quality product at a more affordable price without cutting corners on workmanship..

We started in this industry in 2000.

We are currently working with The Battered Womens Shelter to provide the children with activities to do. We are donating books to The Boys and Girls club.

I retired from the military after aprox 29 plus years and I have never been as impressed with a contractor for service/repair/replacement than The Water Doctor. 100% recommend this company for water treatment services. They were my second quote from a two quote project to replace my water softener. First company lied about the valve at curb being bad. The Water Doctor showed me every angle of the old and new softeners and pressures at the curb and house, before and after running water in tub and sink upstairs. All technicians and customer service was extremely professional and showed the highest level of integrity... they answered questions and at the same time taught me things about my different systems in the home that they didn't need to... told me preventive maint. techniques to ensure my systems ran smooth longer and better. Patricia, Hugo & their Tech were simply put.... Amazing!

We have a dupure water filter system and had them install it at our home, they did an awful job, but the water doctor came out and checked our system, he showed me what they did wrong, checked the systems function which was not working right and didn t charge me because he felt bad for the large amount we already paid dupure. They are great, the job will be done right and the prices are fair

Water Doctor was a great company for installing my water softener! They re a local family owned company who were personal, professional, knowledgeable and really nice people! Their prices were really good and they went over and above in their service! They even drilled a hole in my countertop for my insta-hot for free! I recommended them to the builder for our subdivision and definitely would recommend them to friends and family! Thanks for doing an awesome job!!

The customer service was outstanding and the product instillation was completed in quick order. Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
