They quoted me ($800) for a new garage door opener saying the motor was not working properly. The quote was higher then I thought it should have been so I called someone else who quoted me $500 for a new opener. Turns out the garage door opener was fine it, it was something very minor. Likely something that they loosened when they repaired the springs about a week earlier. So they were going to overcharge me for the a garage opener that I did not need and suggest work that didn?t need to be done. I have to assume that a professional who does this for a living should know better. So the question leads me to think the repairman was either lying to me or really knows nothing about repairing garages? Also as mentioned the same person was out the week before and now it brings into question if he overcharged me or did work I did not really need.
