They didn't come when scheduled. They didn't clean up after. They missed spots, didn't mow the edge of grass by street, so we had a long fringe. They didn't return calls. Mowed way over into our neighbors yard.

I worked with lawn guru for a month. After 2 weeks they finally arrived and mowed my neighbor's lawn even tough I'd given them special instructions for how to get into the back yard. Over the next 2 weeks I tried to get them to return and mow my yard. I even offered to pay them half of their charged rate for mowing the wrong house. They never returned. Customer service was very responsive but not effective.

It was a little difficult in the beginning to convey that my yard hadn't been cut in a few months. I heard about a fee that may be charged if the grass was too high, which ended up being a miscommunication, but going back and forth on that part was a little frustrating.

Hired LawnGuru because another company (Terrascape Services/Ground Star) I hired through Home Advisor wouldn't answer or return calls and just stopped coming back. Now LawnGuru has been out 3 times. Terrance is really good. Professional. However, LawnGuru themselves have just informed me of a hidden fee that is not on their website nor on their app. I needed the day of my service changed. Was just informed VIA email by Brandon that requesting a different day normally costs money. Also found out today whilst navigating the app that if I cancel a job it costs me $5. When LawnGuru was hired I was never informed of these charges. Did not see them anywhere on the app or website. And it's difficult trying to talk to them. The app always kicks me out in live chat. I finally had to email them. Plus you cannot respond to the texts they send. I talked to Terrance, nice guy, and the guy he sent out today in his place, and was told they had no problem changing my service day. Hopefully everything is worked out now and I can have them show up on the day I want, without getting charged extra and Terrance will continue to be the person to service my lawn. I really do not want to go through the hassle of finding yet another company to do what I want when I want it done. Oh and the app does not work like they say it does. And yes, I tell them that every time I have to live chat with them with questions I have.

    HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business.
  5. Sex Offender Search
    We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located.
  6. Bankruptcy Search
    We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them.
  7. Legal Search for Civil Judgments
    We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them.
  8. Liens Search
    We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them.
  9. Identity Verification (SSN)
    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
