"I was searching for a tree trimming company with a trained/certified arborist and hit the jackpot. Elbert Holt, who was the company rep in our city was very forthcoming in evaluating my 100 year old oak. It lost some limbs via the 120+ mph winds during the derecho we had in Cedar Rapids, IA on Aug 10, 2020. I wanted to see if it would be harmed by pruning (months before the normal winter pruning season). Elbert reassured me that it would okay to clean up the few broken limbs to provide clean cuts to increase the likelihood it will survive this stressful experience. Their team of climbers did a great job of cleaning up my tree. Their skill and work ethic was fantastic to witness. They also did a huge project at my sisters house to remove limbs from the roof of her house and cutting down 4 trees : one of which was a large diameter (~ 56 in ) silver maple that was growing in between 2 houses. I was skeptical about this company since they were not â localâ . I received great personal reviews from others in town who used their services."

"Crew removed a tall black walnut along property line between two houses, quite a skillful maneuver! Also took out several other dead and nuisance trees. Cleaned up site and took away/ground up all refuse. A bit expensive but worth it for what they accomplished in a very short time. Experienced workers."

"Quinonez Tree Service did an excellent job, taking down two tall dead trees, both located at the fence between my and our neighbor's yard, requiring our neighbor's full cooperation. There was significant vegetation surrounding the base of each tree which required extra work and care. Although the trunk of each tree was located in my yard, about 90% of the work, including the staging of the operation and the location of virtually all of cuttings, occurred in our neighbor's yard. I needed to have confidence in advance that everything would be done correctly not just for my satisfaction but especially for my neighbor's. After receiving this confidence in my conversation with Helen along with a competitive price (lower than that of the two other companies who gave estimates), I engaged Quinonez Tree Service. On the day of the removal of the trees, Helen returned with a large number of workers from her family and all the equipment necessary to complete the job, including the big chipper machine which they located in my neighbor's driveway with my neighbor's support obtained in advance. "Guy is amazing! He came to remove some cabinets and install new appliances and wound up helping me for the next four weeks. He’s installed water lines, gas lines, moved electrical outlets, installed all new receptacles in the house, installed new light fixtures, did drywall repairs, painted, stained, fixed the doors twice after the movers broke them, moved appliances, fixed the shower, removed moss from the roof and cleaned it, installed new light switches, installed exterior lights, chalked all the windows, hung new blinds, installed new flooring and molding, installed new sink vanity and faucet, replaced all the water shut off valves in the bathroom and kitchen and is doing a small remodel in the kitchen (new countertops, backsplash, sink and upgrading the cabinets). Guy can do it all! He is easy going, hard working, knowledgeable, very fairly priced, communicative and talented. Hire Guy. You won’t be disappointed!"
