Lavu Concrete

We hired Lavu Concrete to expand our driveway so we could get our cars off a busy, narrow street, and a concrete sidewalk to my side yard. The crew showed up early and worked very hard. After I saw the workmanship of a planter his brother installed, I asked him to do a flagstone path through my yard. Sam quoted me a price, and his word is gold. Right before the concrete pour, the lateral sewer line was blocked, because of tree roots. Not anything they did. We had to replace the lateral which is buried 3-5 feet below ground. Everyone said we were lucky it happened before the pour. Thank God! Through all the postponement with the concrete company because of the plumbersâ schedule and weather, owner Sam kept his cool . He and his brother made the driveway and paths beautiful. Wish he did other kind of work or wish I had more work for his company. His price is fair. Heâ s knowledgeable, brother and worker were hardworking. Local business and large enough to work out any problems that might come up along the way like redoing the planter after the plumber came to install the new cleanout.

I hired Sam and team to work on the sidewall of my home which was made of concrete due to leakage into the home. It wasn't a lot, but it was enough that it needed to be fixed. The leak happens when it rains. Initially when I had Sam come by the home, he immediately took a look and noticed that the leak was happening because of the "alleyway" concrete (an area between my home and my neighbors) was sloped towards my home. He recommended we re-slope that section of the concrete and fix the concrete in front of the house as well the block of concrete was cracked and also there was an entrypoint for water to come into the home. Overall good experience and I appreciate the locally owned business and the fact that he's had over 30+ years of experience. He knows what he's good at and that's what he focuses on versus trying to do too much. The work was done fast and efficient. We're expecting a big rainfall the next 3-4 days so I'll be able to see if the work he did fixed the issue.

Sam and crew were on time, efficient, answered all questions, completed the floor in a timely manner. They cleaned up afterward. They even patched a hole in a retaining wall next to floor install. The price was very fair. I would hire this contractor again!

I had Lavu replace concrete and rebar in my garage that had really fallen apart. Lavu was responsive, flexible with my schedule, and did great work. They also priced the project fairly where some of the others tried to gouge and negotiate with laughable quotes up front. I'd certainly pick them again for upcoming projects.

Unlike the other two contractors I interviewed, Sam actually suggested doing a number of things that others were reluctant to do and for a much more reasonable estimate. He was courteous, prompt, and maintained steady text-message contact throughout the job.
