They missed their first appointment to give an estimate. Chepi was scheduled to come and Shay Dee Barber showed up several hours early for the next appointment and began "doing work" when no one was home. No contract or permission was given to do any work. He tried to give an invoice which was 8 times tghe estimate from other roofers. His "work" had to be torn out and thrown away by another vendor I had to hire because Shay Dee Barber did such a poor job. Shay Dee Barber has no roofing skills. He angrily threatened "I'll put a lien on your house" which was laughable as he had no contract. L&I, who grants licenses said he only has a general contractors license and there is no skill needed. This is a "contractor" to stay away from!!

Chepe was quick to contact me and got the job done quickly. His price was reasonable.

Got an estimate beginning of may. 8 weeks later after putting half down his crew showed up late. First Shay decided I needed more work. An extra $3k was approximated and I asked for estimate emailed. Estimate was $9k more. I rejected the change 4 separate communications and monday morning his crew showed up late tearing up the roof for additional work. I called Shay and stated I rejected change and he told me I must pay extra to restore the roof or he pulls the crew with roof open. Finally rew gets tge roof done after a progress payment was made using my debit leaving $2k left. I went to buy a cashier check for PAID IN FULL final payment and found 1st Choice had gone ahead without my authorization. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I cannot stress this enough! I have never had a contractor curse me out!!!

On June 18 provider did temporary fix on chimney flashing (contract signed for all work June 18) that did more damage than it supposedly fixed. was verified by the other contractor bidders and new hired contractor who repaired the chimney flashing and roof that was damaged by 1st Choice. 1st Choice oworked for only half a day on the 18th on the roof flashing around the chimney. On the 19th (next day) day we texted them, talked with them on the phone telling them we unhappy with their work and were cancelling the contract dated, on June 18. Owners stopped responding to my texts or phone calls after June 19. On June 20, I sent them a letter by certified mail stating we wanted to cancel the contact and a refund of money already paid. No response.

Shay visited our property to inspect our roof and identify the source of a leak. While I'm pleased that he was able to identify areas in the attic that needed repairs, I am dissatisfied with the cost of his services. He initially quoted me a price that was significantly lower than the final bill. Shay assured me that the previous roofing company I used would gladly reimburse me for the cost, but that has not happened. I have attempted to contact Shay multiple times to discuss his inflated fees, but he has not returned my calls. I feel misled into believing I would receive reimbursement, and I believe I was overcharged. I would recommend avoiding this company at all costs!

The guy named Shay did a great job of repairing my garage roof .He had the work done during the first time of visit.Professional and efficient!

Shay came out on the same day as scheduled, though not the time arranged. He thought he could fix our issue with a few small adjustments and some roof cleaning. For less than two hours of work, he wanted to charge $8500, and was verbally aggressive towards my wife when she pointed out that we had not authorized that amount. When the work did not do anything to fix our problem, Shay claimed they could do even more work for a small cost because most of the work was already done. This did not match at all the proper fix another company did, so we declined.

Chepe and the crew were great. Hardest working guys Iâ ve met in a long time. Very responsive to everything (email, text or call). Fixed three leaks, replaced fireplace flashing, replaced vents, cleaned roof and repaired and even did our gutters. Would recommend.
