He was there on time, went above and beyond--even cleaned up after himself. I was very pleased.

Once Ken and I were communicating on the same page everything went very well. He was on time, did nice work installing the garbage disposal, installing blinds, mounting the smoke/CO detector, and trimming out the bottom of my storage shed. I am very happy with the job(s) he did and will call him directly when the next handyman job comes up.

Ken has the shortest temper of any contractor I've worked with, and took absolutely no responsibility for failing to meet his contract. During the job, I had to wrestle with him to get him to paint the surfaces as i had outlined (which color goes where) etc...and he repeatedly tried convincing me to keep his mistakes after he had made them. Every time I confronted him with an issue regarding the job, he would blow up in my face and tell me not to "nickle and dime" him . After mis-judging the amount of material it would take to paint the surfaces, he asked me to buy several more gallons of paint to complete the job. Ken ended up going past the schedule he promised me by 11 days, and today packed up his tools in a heated argument about fixing his painting mistakes (leaving me with a half-painted house). Ken seemed like a professional when I hired him and he offered us some good advice on our paint job and remodel. Too bad he couldn't follow through.

Quality and scheduling are a foreign concept to Ken. He was the most expensive quote and when talking to him he sounded knowledgeable. I was willing to pay more for things to be done right. It wasn't. The only positive I can say is that he didn't go over budget. The quality of work and customer service were lacking throughout the project. I can't say enough about how bad this experience was.
Response from Company:
Can't work for free. We tried our very best to please his client.

Looks amazing! We are very happy with the final result! Ended up taking longer and costing more than estimated, but was worth it.

Ken did a great job on the stairs and was especially patient with his work when it was evident the original builders had done a poor job regarding symetry of the stairway. He also provided me with good ideas on alternatives and kept me in the loop the entire way regarding any changes in pricing. High quality workmanship and very nice. I have hired him already to do other jobs.
